Reviewed By Paolamex85Este lugar es un oasis de traqnulidad y el espacio es muy acogedor. Los cuartos son bastante espaciosos y limpios y muy comodos. Los duenos del hotel estan muy presentes y su atencion a todos los detalles se refleja en una estancia placentera para toda la familia o parejas o viajeros solos. La comida es ESPECTACULAR, deliciosa, fresca y preparada en casa! Me and my family arrived at 1h40am without announcement because we were coming from another place were we had to leave because of security issues. When we got to La Finestra, the owner opened and let us in without hesitation, he showed us to our room very warmly and told us to rest and we would figure out everything else the next day. He also told us no matter what time we would wake up breakfast would be ready for us! The room was clean, spacious and the place is a oasis of nature. The food is prepared in-house and is AMAZING and delicious. The breakfast is included and is more than generous and includes fresh juices and fruits. The menu for the rest of the day lunch and diner are delicious!

Reviewed By andregomez22my boyfriend and i loved this eco-hotel because the attention was very nice, fast and very kind; also the food is very good, with fair prices and fast service. with respecto to the place itself, it's very green and relaxing, has a lot of things to do and many beautiful animals.

Impeccably Clean and Comfortable AND Off the Grid Next to Nature
Reviewed By solabaresWe just got back from four glorious days at La Selva. Wow, what a complete transformation after too long in the big city. The hotel is set several hundred meters back from the Highway, making it both accessible and quiet. The sound of the crickets at night coupled with the starry sky made the evenings peaceful. The wide, shallow, and accessible creek just steps from the hotel, along with the clean, idyllically set pool, made for pleasant and nature-filled days. The room: we had a triple, a double bed and a single bed. The room is big enough, not huge, with a very hot shower and effective ceiling fan. A/C is simply not needed, as it cools down at night. The bed is comfortable, the decor simple. It was exactly what was needed, nothing fancy, but fine. The restaurant: the service is five star. Joseph and Miguel did everything in their power to please us, from constantly serving my wife a full thermos of herbal infusions (we have a two-month old who is breast feeding, so this hydration is helpful), to providing us a large bowl if hogao (to die for!!) with every meal. ANy time we needed something, they knew it before we did and brought it immediately. Really world class service, well done! The food is very good, especially the mojarra a la brasa, served with panache in a banana leaf and tin foil, sealing in the flavors. The prices are quite reasonable for the large portions. The grounds: there is a relaxation/massage area. A woman from town came on three separate occasions and gave us excellent outdoor massages. We also had another woman come for a mani/pedi combo. The creek is the star of the show, in my opinion. It is down a short path from the pool area, maybe 50 meters. You can easily walk barefoot in the creek, and the watee is cool and clean. We saw tadpoles swimming in the shallows, very cool for my four-year-old son. The pool is cleaned daily, and fresh water is constantly flowing into it. It is not long enough for lap swimming, but it does have a shallow, wide rim for little kids. This is a nice plus. The entire hotel is set in dense vegetation, giving it a jungle-like feel. They keep the place clean, but you can still enjoy a grasshopper visit or some birds flying close by. Overall, this was a surprisingly good value for the high level of service offered. We will definitely return.

Reviewed By NCC92Fuimos un grupo de 13 personas, y entendemos que el check in era desde pues de la 1pm, sin embargo nos colaboraron con la entrega de una de las habitaciones al medio día, eso estuvo bien. El aseo de las habitaciones no es muy bueno, y lastimosamente en el baño de la habitación se veía excremento de ratón, pedimos que nos hicieran aseo en la habitación a lo que accedieron sin mayor dificulta, sin embargo después de que hicieron aseo y que todos estábamos por fuera de la habitación volvimos a entrar y nos dimos cuenta que nuevamente había excremento de ratón. Los administradores o dueños del hotel, intentaron decirnos que eso nunca había pasado y que eso no era lo que nos imaginábamos. Aunque trataron de hacernos ver que las cosas no eran así, nos dimos cuenta que el aseo es muy malo, por todo lado, las paredes manchadas, se nota que no limpian bien las esquinas de las paredes y otros espacios más.

Reviewed By PendejoTWTDWe were just passing thru and needed a place to sleep, this was the first place we came across in LA Vega with a pool and off road parking, price was what we'd call in UK budget but was probably more mid-range in Colombia. We got 2 rooms, which were comfortable enough, not the most lavishly decorated but adequate for our needs. Wifi only worked in the TV Room... why would you want to use wifi in TV room? Pool area is very nice, with a bar, ice cream etc. The grounds are walked by peacocks. Breakfast again was poor...

Reviewed By Aweh2Everyone - locals and knowing tourists - looked at us like we were smart when we said where we were staying. I'm pretty sure we would have been even more wowed if times were normal. Place is wonderfully clean, Garden Bar is amazing (food/drinks, staff, ambience and live entertainment at reasonable volume), beautiful garden grounds, good beds (I suffer otherwise, and these were legit good), inviting pool, helpful front office to find necessities and excursions. Farmers market is also on premises on Sundays.
