Reviewed By edwardpU8660ZNAlthough we have been to Katelios many times this was our first time at Efrosini and it has now become to go to place to stay! Lovely apartments. Great pool. Lovely staff. The grounds are spacious there is no hemmed in feel at all. 10 minutes walk and you are down in the main part of Katelios and the beach. Perfect!

Reviewed By pearlpoppyFrom the very first moment of arrival I was made welcome and had a fabulous stay at these apartments. Such friendly people with a special mention for hard working Dina who looked after me wonderfully and kept the whole place spotless. My room with balcony overlooking the sea was delightful with an enormous comfortable bed. Kitchen area very well equipped, including coffee machine and sandwich toaster supplied although no kettle. I expect if I had asked that would have been forthcoming but I wasn’t bothered. Woke up to the sounds of the sea lapping the beach and swallows chattering to each other. Staying in this resort was idyllic, no thumping music anywhere, just some tavernas had it at acceptable levels with most playing Greek music if at all. I have fallen in love and will return to Medusa!

Quieter and good value
Reviewed By nickmY1003VRWe had booked a room at short notice. When we arrived we were told that as we had asked for an upstairs room with a view we were in the place next door Sea and Creek. They are linked businesses it seems. The room we were given was excellent. Breakfast was at their taverna on the beach about 10m away up the beach. More than enough of it. Good quality. Varied. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The site is on the beach. The sea is shallow and ideal for swimming you can stroll up the beach, and across the rocks to the next beach where they have protected areas for turtles. The other way is the small village. Lots of sea front restaurants with various local and international foods. Fish is big. There are a couple of mini markets on one of the roads to the sea front. Watersports are available. Unspoilt and low rise buildings. Ideal for those who want a quieter holiday. It is about 30 minutes in a taxi. We preordered one via booking. Com for about £33. The driver drove at safe speeds. He was waiting for us at the airport

An oasis of tranquility

The Alkioni Hotel, set peacefully just 5 minutes stroll from Katelios beach, bars and tavernas. This is a family run hotel, and the whole family really look after their guests. The Manentis family, Spires the father who makes sure very thing behind the scenes works well. Front of house, your host is Jackie a wonderful lady who is assisted by her boys Stavros and Iasonas along with Tila who mucks in everywhere helping and cleaning. The hotel is mainly on the ground and first floor although there are a couple of apartment's on the second floor. All rooms have beautiful views over the gardens and pool towards the sea. The rooms are large with good size balconies or terraces. The other things which make this hotel so comfortable are, efficient and very quiet air conditioning. Large powerful showers with lots of hot water, aways. Really comfortable bed. A kettle and hair drier are also provided. I checked with other guests who agreed so it wasn't just our room. There is a well stocked bar and breakfast is taken under a lovely vine covered terrace. The pool is superb and kept spotless. Our return next year will not be unusual. Whilst here we met a couple who had been visiting for 20 years and another couple on their 8th year. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and look forward to our next visit.

Reviewed By ErosWe had a very enjoyable stay at Dreams. It is situated a pleasant 10 minute walk from the centre of Katelios and 5 minutes to the sea front. The accommodation was excellent and we had a first floor sea facing apartment looking to Zante in the distance. Certainly would be happy to return.

Stunning gardens, immaculate modern rooms, great location, friendly host
Reviewed By eviz5I stayed with my partner and baby boy for 4 nights. Our studio was immaculate, spacious and had stunning contemporary design. The kitchen was fully eqquipped for cooking. The bathroom seemed recently refurbished and we loved the rainfall shower head. Wifi had strong connection. The location was very convenient, only minutes away from the village Katelios and some gorgeous beaches, like Kaminia and Koroni. For us the highlight of our stay was the gardens, with lots of relaxing hidden corners, and lots to explore for our boy. The host is super friendly and helpful. Bonus: at night you can use the second floor terrace for a romantic star gazing. It was a very peaceful stay, I would highly recommend.

Reviewed By 467JohnB467Yes, good. Why do I say that? Well, for no real reason I found myself on this site and I just had to look at what was being said about Katelios. Oh, Katelios. What lovely memories. You see, for something like 15 years my late wife Janet and I would spend a couple of weeks in June there. Janet died in 2003 so you can work out when our visits started. Then it was a real fishing village with just three tavernas and a late night bar. I'm so pleased to be able to say that in all the time we went, and in spite of the fact that it did/has grown somewhat, it retained a special homely atmosphere. We went so often and for so long we always said that we felt like we were going home. To family. So, anybody who is thinking of going, does go, embrace the place, the people and please give them my warmest regards and thanks for providing such wonderful memories. Oh yes, if Spiros and Dennis still run The Blue Sea, please tell them that I still put a dash of Worcester Sauce in my cream and garlic mushrooms. That was supposed to be their family secret recepie. But, at 2.00am one evening, well..... PS I've had to put down 2019 as to when I went. In reality, the last time was 2002 just before Janet became ill. John, Lancashire.

A quiet oasis
Reviewed By cookiebear-jbRecently returned from our 1st visit to Villa Dei Sogni stayed in room 26, though there are only 9 rooms, where we were staying on a room only basis. We loved our stay and wish to say a huge thank you to Sofia who looked after us royally and who is rightly proud of this lovely property. A quiet oasis set in mature gardens, our room was large and airy, with probably one of the best bathrooms we have experienced in Greece, it too was large and had a shower cubicle with sliding doors which meant the bathroom did not flood when used. For a 2 star rating this offesr so much, bathrobe and slippers, free safe, pool towels, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, complimentary soap, shampoo, creams etc, kettle, mugs, wine glasses. Our room was serviced daily and towels, bedding changed approx every 4 days, We had a large balcony with teak round table and chairs, which caught the sun from early morning and shady late afternoon. There is a beautiful pool, which is large with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, although the rooms face the pool, the trees in the garden screen it offering privacy when sitting on your balcony. There is also a poolbar which is open till 5:30pm and Sofia also offers a buffet style breakfast. Villa Dei Sogni, is set back from the road, surrounded by patches of rural land, with chickens, cockrels, goats, sheep and sometimes a barking dog, none of which disturbed us. It is an easy stroll to a supermarket and a taverna, a slightly longer walk downhill brings you to the seafront and majority of tevernas. Would we stay again? Of course, in a heartbeat. Thank you once again Sofia.

Reviewed By Kefalonia-SunshineThis wasn’t the first time we have stayed at these apartments and certainly wont be the last. In fact, we first stayed after ‘finding’ Katelios as a resort (hard to call it a resort … it’s more of a village) after I was recovering from one of my numerous back operations. The welcome from Dimitris, Meme and family is always a joy to look forward to. There are stairs to climb (about 12) to get to the floor where the studios are situated … but hey, you’re on holiday and just take your time … take your time. The beach is just a minute away (for me … less for those more able bodied) so it is absolutely perfect for those two weeks where you just want to relax and know you are going to have a wonderful time. All the rooms are lovely, and all but one, have a sea view … They were updated a couple of years ago and now have lovely mattress toppers which make the beds feel so much more comfortable. Nice little balcony with enough seating … perfect for those evenings watching people setting off for their night out … I can’t fault these apartments … kept amazingly clean by Meme and her daughter and anything you need, just ask and Dimitris will be more than happy to try and help.
