Reviewed By Julia CI spent last weekend at Chesa Valisa and my stay there was exceptional. The place is beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful and the owners are kind and approachable. We had a great time at the hotel, which is fabulous and caters for all dietary needs, but also very much enjoyed our e-bike trip through the beautiful Kleinwalsertal, which was made possible by the owners of the hotel, who made sure to direct us to the most beautiful places and made available the e-bikes. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hotel!

Reviewed By JuliaErkLeider waren wir nur für eine Nacht zu Gast bei Familie Herz im Herzen's Landhaus, aber wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt! Der Gastgeber Oliver Herz war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, hatte viele Tipps parat und hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Schöne Zimmer, reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück, Bergbahn-Ticket inklusive. Das Abendessen im Hotel Adler, neben dem Herzens Landhaus, war ebenfalls lecker. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wonderful stay
Reviewed By XabbuOur stay at the Travel Charme Ifen Hotel can be best described with one word: perfect. The hotel has a great design from the outside and the inside, the staff is friendly and competent and the food is excellent. The infinity pool is amazing and offers great views. Even though being a big hotel it never felt busy or crowded. We loved our room both from design and functionality (with a mini walk-in closet), it offered a great view and had a nice balcony. We will definitely come back and enjoy this great hotel again!

The hotel Birkenhohe located right on the slopes of Kleinwalsertal, with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. All our rooms have a balcony or terrace, free WiFi A flat-screen satellite TV and a seating area in each of the comfortable rooms offer you a pleasant stay. Our 650 m² spa area with indoor pool, soft sauna, Finnish sauna, steam room, shower oasis and relaxation rooms, invites you to relax. The large gym, pool, relaxation rooms and our terrace offer wonderful panoramic views. It offers a wide range of massage treatments and relaxing baths in our spa. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian cuisine and regional specialties from Kleinwalsertal. Our half-board comprises a rich breakfast buffet, lunch soup, cake in the afternoon, 5-course-menu and once a week our buffet in the evening. In summer, you can use the 8 regional cable cars in Kleinwalsertal and Oberstdorf and the busses in Kleinwalsertal free. Private parking is possible on site, free of charge.
Great Place to Relax

While we definitely like a bit of luxury and enjoy good food, we usually find five-star hotels and Michelin starred restaurants too pretentious. We have stayed at the Birkenhöhe five times (in the summer) -- we arrive jet-lagged from America, and a few days later we leave refreshed. There are wonderful hiking trails throughout the Kleinwalsertal area and if you stay three days or more you get a free pass to the buses and chairlifts. The food on the half-pension is really superb: dinner is typically a soup, a trip to the salad bar, an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert; small, but elegant, portions that accumulate to a perfect sized meal. There is an extensive wine list, with daily recommendations/specials. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) is to die for. The wellness facilities are also excellent, with a lovely pool, sauna, steam room, etc., and an on-site massage person (Helmut) who, according to my wife, who always gets one, gives a wonderful massage.

Hiking and biking holiday
Reviewed By roelv849We went here through the corona restrictions and planned to go for some hikes with our dog and bike if the weather is ok. Hikes in this area are beautiful and Hotel Gemma we truly can recommenders. Nice staff, delicious food, really nice spa and pool. Probably will return here for the wintersport.

Business to make money no courtesy and kindness as other hotels in the area
Reviewed By Roam250517I lost the my reservation information and contacted the hotel 6 weeks before the planned date asking confirmation that I did the booking with all the detailes. Never heard back, despite the automatic reply from the website. I had to pay the cancellation fee. I called to ask why they never replied, I could not show after 900km and found out I did not have a reservation. They told me it was my problem I lost the booking information and they did not want to acknowledge the email I sent. Not even accepted my offer to share the fee since we both had a problem. I think they voluntarily didn’t want to answer to my email because they wanted to fish the money. There are plenty of nice hotels run by good people in the area, I suggest to go for them.

Reviewed By doli123We stayed on 10th July 2018. We went for dinner that day. Manager told us to sit certain table. EE start eating. Soup was cold and other vegetables also was cold. Waitress came and snatched Napkins from my hand and told me that I am allowed to sit on this table. I told manager . He did not say anything. Too much discrimination towards Indian in that restauran. Next day breakfast time also waitress behaved very rudely. Tea was cold Aldo. We paid the full money and got disrespect and rudeness.Mo tourist company should send any Indians over there. Indians are hiving them too much business to them and they do not have respect towards them.
