Reviewed By casartIts really worth it to book a dinner here. Exellent friendly service and a very warm welcome by the owner. The menu give you the opportunity to make a choice for every taste. I choose a menu of 2 starters and 1 main and it was so delicious ! But the best was the lobster with a champagne butter saus. This restaurant won a award for "4 in bed" and I can say they are the best !! I highly recommend this place and I will come back !! Thank you for the stunning culinair experience.

Hotel- Café de Klok is situated in the center of Hamont next to a small cosy market place of the ‘Teutenstad’ Hamont-Achel, in the north of the Limburgse Kempen. The green historical town breaths peace and hospitality. It is the home of two culinary products, the blue cheese of Grevenbroecker and the Achel Trappist. With a large history, you can enjoy the historical monuments such as the grave hills, the mysterieus Tomp, the Napoleonsmill, local Muesa. Typical ’Teutenhuizen’ etc. Or what do you think of a visit to the Sint-Benedictusabdei, better known as the Achelse Kluis, where they brew one of the few orinignal trappistenbeers. Our small cosy hotel is the perfect place for hikers and cyclists. The hotel is situates 30 km from Eindhoven and the National park Hoge Kempen is just 36km away. We are 1 km from the Dutch border, we have free WiFi and you can use our free parking in front of the Hotel. Hotel de Klok has 10 comfortable rooms, 1 apartment and a suite.
Quirky little B&B

The bar downstairs served great beers (of course, it is in Belgium) and was always full of activity in the evenings. Our room #1 was an oddly arranged room with a sink and toilet in the "bathroom" and then more of a wet bath for the shower next to the bed. It wasn't badly arranged, just different. The view outside the windows by the bed were of the small and cute plaza (the bar is right outside these windows so if you want to turn in early, you should bring some earplugs). The view from the other widows was of the attractive church just across the street (the church bells went off every hour throughout most of the night...so if you want to turn in at all, you should bring some earplugs). Overall, the service was top notch, the hotel was quirky, the locals were friendly. Bring your earplugs and enjoy.

With us you are welcome to visit for your vacation, weekend or business stay. The cosy and welcoming atmosphere gives you a homely feeling. Beautiful restored building
Reviewed By divepetem9Had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights on business. Located pretty much in the centre of Hamont parking is on the street outside the hotel. The rooms are not numbered but named and are very generous in size. They are furnished in keeping with the period of the house which is beautifully restored and maintained. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy and linen crisp, the only slight problem for me was that the bed had a head and foot board which meant for me lying at a slight angle to fit. The en suite is roomy and the shower a decent size to fit a normal human being not a supermodel. The only real issue for me in the room, which I guess is due to the age of the property, is the lack of free plugs to charges device. Perhaps an extension cable could be provided by the writing desk? Breakfast can be at your chosen time and is a nice selection of cold cuts and pastries. The only problem with the main house is the stairs to access the room, they are original, winding and very steep and narrow so would not be suitable for persons with mobility issues but there is an adjacent building which is all on ground level so you could request to stay here. Overall a lovely property run by the friendly, attentive owners and one that I would return to and recommend

Tania en Willem zijn heel vriendelijke mensen, altijd in voor een praatje en geven de nodige informatie over lekker eten, drinken in de buurt. Ideale omgeving om mooie wandelingen/ fietstochten te maken. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid en als de gelegenheid zich voordoet, keren we zeker nog eens terug.

Reviewed By Veronique52This hotel is situated in the middle of a village. You can start bicycle tours from here to any part of Limburg. You can cycle through forests and the country and enjoy the peace and quiet of an underestimated part of Belgium. The hotel itself was a bit of a disappointment, though. The reception was very friendly (but than again most people in Limburg are very warm and welcoming). The room we were given, was situated on the first floor, which can only be reached by a small staircase. Not very practical if you have a large suitcase. The room was clean, but lacked a few necessities one usually finds in a hotel. There was no soap in the shower and there was no dryer. The room didn't have a fridge and the television was rather old. We came on a chilly day and wanted to turn on the central heating. This didn't work, so the first part of our stay it was really cold in the room. In the evening the heat was turned on, but then the room became so hot that it was difficult to sleep, and we didn't find a way to turn it off, so we had to open the window to let in some fresh air. Not very friendly for the environment. Breakfast was OK. There were three kinds of bread (although croissants would have been welcome on a Sunday morning), cheese, jam and different sorts of meat. The coffee was fresh and we were offered a refill more than once. The orange juice wasn't freshly made. The boiled egg was appreciated. If you are looking for a very simple, affordable hotel to start your discovery of Limburg by bike, this is the place to book. But don't forget to take your soap :-)

A beautiful B&B

The heating in the room is adjustable for personal comfort. The breakfast is enormous and the host is a delightful lady. I highly recommend this B&B.

Reviewed By Hendrik50Gezellige gastvrouw ontving ons met koffie en thee na onze dag wandelen. De kamers zijn ruim en voorzien van een TV met een ruim aanbod aan zenders. De badkamer is op de gang en zeer goed ingericht met zowel bad als douche. Het ontbijt s'ochtends is een ruim voorzien buffet. De gastvrouw maakt met veel plezier zowel gekookte eieren als een omelet met spek voor de liefhebbers van een stevig ontbijt.
