For a snack , we offer you a variety of local and Italian delicacies. Enjoy a beautiful evening and let the day end comfortably ! After a restful night, start with a good breakfast buffet in the day. In fine weather, you can also find a sunny spot on our terrace - just as you like it in the morning! For family celebrations , wine tastings and other events our historic vaulted cellar can accommodate up to 120 people. Reviewed By Peter VVery nice little hotel in downtown Hammelburg. WI-FI didn't work that well, but we managed... Professional and welcoming staff had everything ready, and guided us to a "late arrival dinner" at Pizzaria Saim, situated at the town square a few hundred meters from the hotel. Very nice breakfast og rooms. Sadly we did not have time or energy to try the hotels bar this time... We have heard it is great. Definetely coming back.

We were charged twice
Reviewed By Diane CWe had reserved a room at that hotel for one night on the way back from Italy, some weeks before our trip. Unfortunately we had forgotten that we had booked through Booking.com and paid. When we checked out, they charged us the room and we paid again. We should have been suspicious because they tried to charge the clients who checked out before us, but these people argued since they had also paid through Booking.com. The irony is that we noticed that the hotel had forgotten to include our dinner and we mentioned it (yes, we are honest). Arriving home, we realized that we had paid twice and wrote to the hotel. No news. We wrote to them again and still heard nothing. Based on the service at the reception, it is unlikely that they can take a call in English so we have not tried that avenue yet.

Good hotel in central Hammelburg
Reviewed By Linda BA nice and clean hotel at the square in Hammelburg. This is usually our stopover in our way to Italy. They have a nice outside area for drinks and food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is typically German. It's also pet friendly and they allow small dogs without any extra charge. Free parking in garage.

A night in a castle
Reviewed By TashefWe booked one night in this castle hotel during a trip through Germany with our two daughters. This is an old Burg from the 1200's so it is not the refined ornate castle of Disney stories. But the creaky floors, huge tower, winding stair cases and lovely walking paths were even better than the movies. We had a double room with three beds that looked out on the cobbled courtyard. The bathroom was modern and the room very comfortable. The view from the tower was stunning the first night and shrouded in fog the next morning. The restaurant for dinner was classic German fare - meat and potatoes with gravey that were very nicely done. Breakfast the nest morning was in a tower room and was plentiful and delicious. Below the castle is a walking path for the stations of the cross. Lovely. All of the explainations are in German, but the hotel help can give you a basic background of the burg and the area.

Enjoyable stay
Reviewed By dasreiseteamA lovely, very rural location, in the middle of the Bavarian Rhoen. Ideal for hikers, bikers, canoe lovers and people who enjoy nature. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night but we would have loved to see a bit more of the area. The hotel and restaurant are a family business and very family orientated. We are an older couple but enjoyed the interaction with the family. The hotel rooms were in an adjacent building, functional, modern and spotlessly clean. We slept well because the mattress was comfortable and it was very quiet. It would have been nice to see some shampoo, body wash and maybe a body lotion. We only found a hand soap and one small shampoo. We had a breakfast which rolls, cheese, cold cuts, cereal and fresh fruit, enough to keep us going until afternoon. The dinner in the restaurant is recommendable and the prices for food and drink are ok. This hotel is very recommendable.
