Reviewed By Sasa_N_O_13Corridors look like some sort of maze, rooms are very spacious, with large balconies and good amenities. Breakfast is fine for a short stay. Location is within the pedestrian area and everything else in town is within a walking distance.

There are in the Main Building house a restaurant, a drinks bar, a grill terrace and a water bar on the terrace, while the New Building offers a café and a beach bar. Please be aware there is no covered passageway between the two buildings. Meals are served in the restaurant of the Main Building. Both buildings have their own pool, and guests have access to both facilities. Both buildings have a wellness section, but therapies are available in the Therapies (Terápia) section of the Main Building. The price of the room includes: bathrobe, hairdryer, safe, Wireless Internet, as well as access to the pool section of both buildings: steam bath, sauna, infra sauna, hydro massage, Jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor thermal water pools, fitness gym, outdoor pools with fun equipment, and sunbeds. Great hotel for fair value
Reviewed By Gennadiy SClean and quiet hotel with good, responsive personnel. The food is great. It is very traditional for Hungarian hotels with paid-only drinks in the evening. The spa is also good. Hence, this accommodation is highly recommended. Overall, it was a great experience for me.

The only drawback at the Aquaticum is the lack of an English speaking front desk. The website does not elaborate on the required clothing and accessories or if towels, bathrobes would be provided. We called the spa a day earlier but the operator was unable to clarify as she spoke only Hungarian. We didn’t find any useful brochures or posters giving instructions in English at the venue hence wasted some time going back and forth once we’d checked in. These are the useful tips: You need not make prior bookings online and can just walk in using the pricing and timing details on the website. Carry your own towel / bathrobe, slippers You need to wear a swimsuit / trunks. If you haven’t carried your own, you can purchase the items at the store in the hotel foyer. However this is not recommended as the items are highly priced. The shower areas do not provide soap/shampoo so you may carry your own The changing rooms are equipped with lockers and hair dryers

Nice, cosy place
Reviewed By banm2016We were in the hotel for 4 days. They don’t have too much parking places. The hotel is really nice and the stuff is super. The room was clean. The shower was a bit too small. The spa was really cool. There are 3 different small pools under the hotel and one next to it. The outside pool was really great. The temperature was ca 40 Celsius, and at night the steam of the water was really magical. The restaurant is really good. Most of the dishes were hungarian traditional foods (4-5 types) and there were dishes for vegetarians too. I can really recommend this place for everybody.

Had higher hopes
Reviewed By SzerendipityWe stayed at this hotel for three nights with their New Year's Eve offer. Had an ok time but I don't think we gained memories to remember for years. Our room was good - no electricity when we arrived and the problem was only slowly solved -, the food was tasty, we always found something to eat, even for the kids. I personally think it is much better to drink a well brewed real coffee from a tin than to accept those terrible machines in some other hotels that make water tasting drinks out of some powders. So no problem there for me, as many mentioned it below. One thing that bothered us however was the size of the restaurant. We were literally sent away by an employee at the entrance on more than occasion during our stay just stating that we should come back sometime later since the restaurant is full. I can understand that it was a fully booked period during the holidays but shouldn't a hotel restaurant be designed as to manage a full capacity breakfast or dinner flow? Try explaining to a hungry 3 year old that he has to wait: not minutes since then they would have advised us to wait nearby, but who knows for how long. "Come back later!" Really? And not in a very polite way either. Like we shouldn't bother them with wanting to have breakfast. The spa area is nice. It fits the size of the hotel since most of the guests use the spa across the road anyway. The problem for families with small kids is that there are four pools: one with thermal water NOT advised for children, one with very cold water, only for swimmers I guess, the one for children nearest to the entrance to the corridor and during the winter cold air flows in from the outside so not ideal at all, leaving only one pool that can really be used by the kids - not so exciting. The saunas are great and the salt room is amazing for children. As a conclusion we had an ok time but we paid an above ok price for it so the ratio is just not right. I don't think we will ever want to return to this hotel.

A quiet holiday week at the Spa in Hajduszoboszlo
Reviewed By ady aHunguest Apollo Hotel is a 4 star facility, rated through RCI for many years. The rooms are big, the staff friendly even not all speak a foreign language. The hotel has it's own small amenities, like hot tub, Jacuzzi and salt room, but through a twining with the greater Spa facility at Beke near hotel, you have more services included. Personally I prefer the quieter facilities in Apollo for most of the time.

Our 4 star hotel is waiting for the business guests and families with 13 well-equipped, non-smoking rooms. Our guests can choose from standard, superior (with gallery) and deluxe (with gallery, suitable for a family) rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature a private bathroom, a minibar, LCD television, telephone, safe and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are decorated with elegant wooden furniture and most of them are 2 leveled. A spa area including a jacuzzi, a sauna and a massage room are at guests' disposal. In the wellness department, the guests can use the infrasauna, sauna and jacuzzi free from 7 am to 10 pm. Our parking place and wifi internet are available for the guests for free!
Not worth the price
Reviewed By diana hAfter seeing all the reviews on booking.com, we decided to book a room here. It seems like the reviews were fabricated, i can't see it any other way. Poor cleanliness all over the areas, they are not even hoovering the stairs. The breakfast was a joke. Almost no food, and the sausages leftover were stonecold. The breakfast girl totally disaster. She was not nice at all, i think she hates customers, where is all that staff friendliness everyone is high rating on booking? Only Janos from reception has tried to be nice and helpfull. The building is only nice from the outside, put with a bit of an effort into cleaning and customer service so the guests could see at least you are trying.

No Frills but Value for Money Pensione
Reviewed By SchehezeradeMain selling points are its location (within a courtyard off a quiet pedestrian mall close to town square), comfortable and clean accommodation, and proximity to bakeries and casual eateries. It is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station - coming out of station, cross the tramline and walk straight along Varga Utca until Szent Anna Utca, then turn right and take second left turn into Batthyany Utca. For its price, do not expect frills such as tea-making facilities, hair dryer, air-conditioning, etc. However, it is good value for money. The genial host speaks good English and is helpful with suggestions on places to visit, and giving directions. The staff, although they are elderly and do not speak much English, are kind and considerate.

Reviewed By Tali SWe spent one night at Villa Hotel and the place is very nice, clean and elegant. The staff is hospitable and the service is wonderful. Great breakfast! The room we got was small but cozy and clean. Comfortable beds. The park around the hotel is lovely.
