Reviewed By Wayne OWe attended Ehrwald to go to a surprise birthday party for family. We had 4 rooms booked at Spielmann Hotel. The receptionist was friendly and gave us all the details of the hotel and walked us to our room. During our 3 nights, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The dinners were well organized, the chef, kitchen staff and servers put together many different dishes and delivered them to our table of 9 quickly and efficiently. It is the difference between dining and eating. This was dining. The food was great. Breakfast was well stocked including an omelette station and cook. The dinner menu was given to us in the morning to make our choices then. This hotel looks small from the outside but it is not. Restaurant is large in a couple different sections. We made use of the infinity pool which we swam through the sliding automatic doors to the outside section to look at the mountains. There is large sitting area around the pool as well as a sauna. In a different part of the hotel is the other spa area. There are two hotter saunas, steam room , showers and a quiet area. There is a self serve tea station just outside the quiet area. Outside the scenery is magnificent with the mountains and the gardens on site of the hotel. Everywhere was immaculate and well stocked. We used the hotel as a starting point for hiking and heading up to Zugspitze. Once back to the hotel we then relaxed in the pool and spa area until dinner time. We would head back without hesitation.

Reviewed By Alexander WI've been coming to this hotel since I was a little baby. About every year or two we would come back here. I practically spend my childhood holidays here. The rooms are fantastic especially the rooms in the right wing under the roof. The village of Ehrwald is just amazing. The mountains and alms surrounding it is very nice to walk around or use for winter sports also. The restaurant, lobby and bar are just wonderful and relaxing to sit. And the hotel has amazing SPA facilities. I would recommend this hotel to any traveller!!

Very clean hotel with complete facilities and helpful and nice staff. A perfect swimming pool. The half board in me occasionally raises concerns, in this hotel was a show of excellent gastronomy. I recommend this resort

Reviewed By griffrjGabi & Bernhard are very welcoming hosts at their comfortable and well cared for traditional style chalet hotel, a very short walk from the centre of Ehrwald. The hearty and varied cold breakfast buffet (plus warm boiled eggs) sets you up for a day of walking. The balcony views have wonderful views. Can't wait to visit for a third year.

Also the wellness is well equipped and has beautiful view to the mountains. The breakfast, after lunch and dinner package was very tasty and could take glutenfree, lactose free and vegetarian option. Very close to the skipiste and to rent ski equipment is just front of the hotel, with also kind people. Returned home refreshed, energised and peaceful. Thank you so much!!! Would like to come back soon!!

Haus Karl's Ruh is a small family run guest house in Ehrwald in the Austrian Tirol.We are located in the heart of the village, 5 minutes walk from the village centre & ski lifts, with the panoramic Wetterstein Range as our backdrop. The house was handed down to us by my Uncle & so we have an in depth knowledge of the village & the surrounding areas. Due to our location within the Zugspitz Arena we are an excellent base for walkers & climbers during in the summer months & ski/snowboard enthusiasts in the winter. The Bavarian castles of King Ludwig, Schloss Neuschwanstein & Schloss Linderhof, are 40 minutes drive away. Munich is within easy reach either by train or car & we are ideally placed for beer enthusiasts wanting to visit the 'Oktober Fest'. Innsbruck is a 50 minute drive away & Italy & Switzerland are also within driving distance.

Small, intimate mountain hotel located directly at the foot of Germany´s highest mountain, the Zugspitze (3000m high). We are the nearest hotel to the Ehrwalder Almbahn Cable Car station (600 mt), which is the biggest ski area of Ehrwald and also offers the best hiking and mountain biking trails of the area. BERGHAUS HALALI has 10 double rooms with private bathrooms, bathrobes, flatscreen tv, free wifi, tablet and free afternoon snacks with coffee tea from 4pm to 6pm. Daily breakfast is included and dinner can be booked separately every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Further days are upon request only. All our guests have free access to the Ehrwald Family swimming pool and sauna. Private parking and ski room with boot dryer are only some of the services for our guests. We speak German, Dutch, English, Spanish and some French
Bike Tour - ideal place to stay
Reviewed By AlfaQV2I was riding my motorcycle back from the Italian Moto GP at Misano and this was the ideal place to stay. It was calm, quiet and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Next time I will stay longer and explore the area.

Fantastic View of the Mountains

Very modern furnture, but wood /brwon color scheme so it does not give a cold atmosphere, as some other places. Modern bathroom with good shower. Bath robes provided so you can use the spa in the afternoon (steam bath, sauna, rest room) You can even rest out on the terrace, but if you are body shy, chose your place carefully in the sauna! There is a window directly onto the terrace. The restaurant was very good, all courses were thoughly enjoyable and the staff were very attentive. You must remember to book your meals though (by a certain time) although we forgot once and they were still accomodating. Free parking at the back of the hotel for about 20 cars.
