Reviewed By seansH7941EJExpensive & frustrating Brought in a huge group to the hotel, rented out the conference room, catered, cash bar, lots of rooms, lots of customers and frustrated that only 1 room was given a discounted rate. Other rooms have to call & try to get a hold of the manager. Also would have been nice to pre-order breakfast to go for time & convenience.

Reviewed By Tracey GFantastic overnight stay! Very clean room with coffee maker, fridge, microwave and lots of hot water and towels. Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast to go "covid style". Will definitely stay again. Only reason I didn't give it a 5th star was because of the outside noise. Busy highway and adjacent parking lots. Bring your earplugs or fan and you'll be fine! Mcdonalds, smittys and a shell station all in complex. Most comfy pillows Ive had in a long time.

Reviewed By Glen LOne has to ask if there are any good hotels in Edson. The Holiday Inn next door may be worth the slide, as has pool and water slide. Parking all around in in very short supply. Industrial workers and truckers use the hotel and you may be woken up early with the sound of their trucks being started. Train tracks are near, and those fun all night... Whole hotel smells of perfumed products. Bed linen also smells of whatever perfumed soap used to wash. After you fight your way through the non automatic main doors, that smell wi what hits you. Lots of little maintenance problems in the room. Beds poor...

Little rough for the price
Reviewed By cgraha941729Was definitely better than when I stayed in this hotel 20 years ago. Was nice that they got rid of the green shag carpet that was wore out. Definitely has been renovated. However pretty sure it’s the same beds and mattresses that they had 20 years ago. The springs wearing on my back were a nice touch. For the price I’d go elsewhere

Very disappointed
Reviewed By chucks959We stayed here for a hockey tournament weekend. There was multiple teams in the hotel. So it was busy. From the day we first called to book until the day we checked out the front desk staff were terrible. They were rude, wouldn’t honour the agreed group rate and argued with everyone. They insisted because they were busy is why they increased the rate. It was busy because multiple groups chose to stay there for the same event. They were not organized and had all the groups split up around the hotel. It was a poor experience. Parking wasn’t sufficient either. Checked Covid vaccine status for breakfast but told us they wouldn’t do it for the pool. So they kept the pool to 10 people max and had to book your time. But then let the first people with one group that checked in book all the times for the weekend. When we called the week before to ask if booking the pool was necessary we were told no. It’s no problem. Well that was a lie. Tried to over charge me on checkout and if I wasn’t on the ball and argued they would have gotten away with it. Still payed more than what the group rate was and there was no care given to being an ihg member or AMA member. Just tried getting every cent they could. Just poor customer service. Room was clean and comfortable. We are back in Edson for another hockey weekend in February and will be staying away from this location.

Had do not disturb on my door handle and at least 3maids entered anyway, and knocking extremely loud on my door when I was trying to sleep. Other then that it was great.

Reviewed By jason45000I stayed at this hotel for several weeks while I was in town for work. The hotel was well kept, clean and above all the staff was amazing. The staff helped me with everything I needed. They were super friendly and very accomodating. I helped out a fellow hotel patron that was stuck in the parking lot in the snow. As a token of their appreciation the ladies working the front desk catered me a home cooked meal that was big enough for dinner and lunch the next day. This isn't the sort of thing you expect from a hotel. I was upgraded to a nicer room free of charge. I almost didn't stay at this hotel, but im glad I did. If I find myself back in Edson in the future I'll definitely come back here.

Not bad at all
Reviewed By 1WanderingGuyStayed here for a night while in town for work. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was in the East House. I found my room to be spacious and comfortable. The only suggestion I would make to hotel management would be to put new showerheads in. My room had the standard old unadjustable shower head that almost peels your skin off. I find these to be common in a lot of older hotels. Not the end of the world though. Breakfast was the standard hot/cold continental buffet. Does the trick before heading out the door for the day. I would have no problems staying here again.
