Lunch looked great but wasn't warm. Sent it back but no improvement. It should be easy to keep the food hot until lunches finished. Waiters were apologetic but it was a chefing problem. Wouldn't recommend

Lovely stay with welcoming host

We were upgraded here after booking the hostel next door, and Jack made our stay so comfortable and welcoming from the get go. We were given a 6 person room between 3 of us which was clean comfortable and cosy. When we asked where we could go for food, Jack offered to make us up a portion of pasta bolognoise which was such a treat and so delicious. Great location and very much a home from home with a brilliant host. Highly recommended!

Stayed 1 night with Grace on our way to Arranmore Island. We were greated with tea and buns which were very much appreciated after our long drive. Grace was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast the next day was excellent and there was a big menu to choose from. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here and if we are in the area again we will definitely stay.

Booked cabin part of this bnb for Mary of dungloe festival in July. Also booked for a family reunion at this time where relatives have already booked their accommodation. Having booked months in advance as I knew accommodation would be tricky at this time. Received a message from owner that she made a booking mistake and could not accommondate us. Spent a full day back and forth calling other accommodation locally and even neighbouring towns. Absolutely nothing available as it's a very busy time with the mary from dungloe festival. Now in a situation of myself partner and children can no longer go on this holiday and be apart of family reunion. Canceled my booking on booking.com with this property to avoid any charges from booking.com only to notice that the cabin available again. My guess is the host is accommodating friends and booted us of the booking. Said they would find us alternative accommodation but as i have already stated absolutely nothing available on the dates we needed so it's of no help to us. Not acceptable. Very unreliable. Holiday in ruins.

Great Stay in Dungloe

Amazing hostel! We stayed for 2 nights end of August, everything was perfect, amazing showers, better than any hotel I've stayed in, rooms are spotless clean. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child and got lucky with a 9 bunk room, my daughter loved it so I would definitely recommend for kids or groups that are going to Donegal for surf camps etc. Jack was a great host, we arrived late and he was very accommodating and we had a gorgeous fry in the B&B next door the next morning. Everything is on your doorstep in Dungloe, beach, shops, lovely pubs and 3 supermarkets, definitely a spot to stay in if you are travelling in that area. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apt over the Easter break. We originally booked the suite but Tricia the host upgraded us to the 2 bed for the same price. The apt had everything you need for a self catering holiday. It also offered free wifi which was a must with a 10yr. It is a 2 min walk down hill to the village of Dungloe where you have the bars, shops and restaurants. Tricia and her husband were lovely to deal with and we will definitely be back.

Fairgreen Cottages

Very enjoyable stay & great value for money

Reviewed By Evielalor

We have just had a very enjoyable week at Fairgreen Cottages. The cottages are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine, which is a must with young kids. Location is great, short walking distance to Dungloe town, lovely river walk near by which is ideal for walkers and joggers. Several beaches nearby also. For those with young kids, I highly recommend the beach on Cruit Island which is about 15 minute drive. Pauline is a lovely lady and very helpful. If you want great value for money and enjoy beautiful Donegal then Fairgreen Cottages is where to go.
