A Nice Quaint Gem
Reviewed By Peter WThis small family style hotel is like a postcard image. It's in a very small town, a very small village actually about 7km from Markdorf. The rooms are basic but the beds are comfortable and i imagine it will be plenty warm in the winter. It's hot here now so the rooms are warm but it's nice outside and the view is of pretty rolling hills. The is a very impressive looking swimming pool and I was told there is a sauna as well. It's a bit hot for that today. I was looking for quiet and quaint and this hotel delivers. There are home made jams and local fruit brandy for sale in the lobby. They will be my gifts to bring home to enjoy and remember my stay

Supertolle Ferienwohnung und Gastgeber
Reviewed By Y4928HTannesWir haben bei Familie Hummer 1 Woche Urlaub gemacht und die Gegend mit unseren Motorrädern erkundet. So eine tolle Ferienwohnung hatten wir bisher noch nie. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut ausgestattet und picobello sauber. Es gibt einen Herd mit Backofen, eine Mikrowelle und ein Geschirrspüler ist auch vorhanden. Man kann sich also rundum selbst versorgen, wenn man mag. Von Familie Hummer wird sogar ein Brötchenservice angeboten. Vom Balkon der Wohnung Nr. 1 hat man eine phantastische Aussicht und wir konnten diverse Sonnenuntergänge genießen. Selbst für unsere 2 Motorräder wurde ein Plätzchen in der Garage frei gemacht. Auch ist die Lage für Unternehmungungen in alle Richtungen ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Wir können den Ferienhof Hummer also nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Peace and FANTASTIC food on the Bodensee
Reviewed By czkidMy favorite hideaway in Southern Germany... quiet, peaceful, easy parking, great access to the sights... AND FOOD YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE. I've been coming here for 20 years, although not for the last 10. I did a lot of business with Dornier in Friedrichshafen in years past and we always ate here when given the chance. The original owner has passed on and passed the hotel and kitchen on to his son and daughter-in-law. The kids have upgraded the accommodations (they're super), the facilities, and even added a couple terrasses and other wonderful attractions. The son, in addition to being a fabulous cook, is a hunter. Therefore wild game is normally always on the menu... and what a menu it is. This last trip we had a venison rageau that was unbelievable. Served outside on the patio, with the sunshine and the breezes, and all the wonderful folks about it was spectacular. All the major sights are within 20 minutes... don't miss Schloss Salem and the Convent as well as the unbelievable Insel Mainau.

Lecker, mit Potential
Reviewed By 5julia3_nEs war wieder lecker, allerdings fielen einzelne Portionen extrem klein aus. Die Kaesespaetzle sind weiterhin Weltklasse, der Rinderschmorbraten sollte allerdings mit etwas mehr Fleisch garniert werden - ist ja keinen Sternerestaurant, in dem ich 8 Gänge bestelle.
