Reviewed By Cole222Great location. The hotel is located near the Basílica. Overall the hotel had good service and rooms were cleaned. The stairs were steep (maybe a little challenging for an older person). Breakfast was good.

Fancy hotel with boutique aspirations on south side of town
Reviewed By HuitzilipoxtleThis town is full of hotels, and the Hotel El Dorado provides a somewhat pricey alternative to the rest of the group inasmuch as it charges slightly more for its small but very smartly decorated rooms. Upon closer inspection, some of the attempts at luxury are haphazard and cheap, but overall the hotel is private, cozy, functional, and provides a degree of sophistication most hotels in the centre would not. The place is quiet, the wifi excellent, and the staff top-notch. It is worth noting that individual rooms are quite different, and it's worth looking around the hotel to find the room that best fits your needs. Mattresses can be hard - but not in all rooms! It may just be a personal thing for me, but I love the hotel's location, as it is located at the bottom of my favorite street in this town.

Baños bonitos, excelente limpieza y la atención de sus empleados maravillosa, atentos y cálidos las recepcionistas son un amoooor. Gracias por su buen trato y servicio. felicitaciones!!!. Parqueadero propio café de la casa en recepción. Solo falta que ofrezcan el desayuno con la estadía, aunque tienen restaurante en la propiedad con buen sazón. Felicitaciones volveré para seguir siendo sorprendido. Muchas gracias.

Disappointing
Reviewed By GringoAlto2000I had wished it to be more colonial in decor and more antiques, but quite plain. Close to Churches on small plaza park, surrounded by restaurants and shops. More better accommodations at Villa de Lieva about an hour away and very, touristy.
