Reviewed By nir4Last week, I have stayed with my family and friends (total of 4 adults + 6 children) for 1 day at this amazing B&B. Everything was just great !! Starting with the rooms, the beds, the showers, the location of the B&B, the restaurant that Fransesco (the owner) recommended for dinner. Without any doubt I give it a perfect "10" and a "100" for "value for money". The only complaint I have is for myself that I didn't have enough time to spent at the B&B as my flight took off from Roma early next morning. Fransesco - thank you so much !!! Nir

The Hotel is only 30km from the ¨Leonardo da Vinci¨ Fiumicino airport and 6km from Ciampino airport of Rome.

Reviewed By arekegThe hotel is old, the rooms are simple and the bathroom was worn out. The hotel is very well situated with a very nice view, but badly needs to be redecorated. Staff was not helpfull I would not reconmend this hotel.

Spectacular views across the lake, Meals in the restaurant directly overlooking the lake, views are breathtaking. Hotel is opposite the Popes summer residence, which you can see clearly across the lake. Access to lake from hotel, down some steps, you can also walk to other restaurants and bars in about 20 minutes

Reviewed By benbentonVery nice small hotel on the edge of the historic center. Rooms and balconies are small, but the price is right. Gorgeous view, friendly and helpful service. Excellent location. There is a good restaurant immediately below the hotel with terrace seating. Google Maps did not bring us close to the correct address. I suggest you try Ways or another mapping program. The hotel suggests an address to plug in to reach their drop-off door.

Nice showers and decent WiFi with breakfast delivered to your room, also had an outdoor jacuzzi deck. Love to return one day

Remote elegance, pastoral and quiet
Reviewed By David FWe were here at the start of the Low season (late October 2019). This very large facility is basically a banquet hall overlooking the spectacular Lake (Lago) Albano. The facility drive is off the main road as you ascend to the main entrance where there is a electronic gate. The reception person was very hospitable and we found out room overlooking the lake at night. The room is antiquated but clean and maintained well enough.As in most older facilities there is a slight lack of electronic outlets but we managed well enough. The area was very quiet and very pleasant. I can only imagine what goes on here in the summer. There was a wedding banquet held there while we were there. I got the impression that there were 4 other couples in the hotel. We decided to eat dinner there as we were very tired. We were 2 of 3 customers in the dining room, upstairs. The waiter was superb, the meal? So, so. Maybe it is because they had just opened at half past 7PM. I ordered an Entrecote steak, my wife ordered a seafood pasta. Both were"reasonable", that is, nothing special. I also noticed that the seafood bits (octopus, calamari, shrimps and mussels were just barely cooked. I d not know if this was a Chef error or, that in this region they eat it just barely cooked. Anybody? The night was very pleasant and the next morning's breakfast was also, very nice. This meal was better (and cheaper) than the previous night's meal. The staff were very nice and very friendly, no complaints there. All and all a very pleasant stay and we recommend it very much.

More than a comfortable and scenic accommodation on a wonderful lake: a point of friendly family support, in the Castelli Romani Regional Park; you will be accommodated in a family with respectful discretion but always available for your needs. Enjoy your stay in our bed & breakfast, a great starting point for your walks in nature; right under a real nest of peregrine falcon!

We loved Castel Gandolfo, Nemi etc. Il Nido del Falco is in a great location, beautiful room and Ivan is a lovely host. My husband and I truly enjoyed the last evening of our 25th anniversary trip in this warm and inviting B&B! Thanks again Ivan!

Rooms and bathrooms are small but the view is spectacular. 10 mins walk to the Pope's Summer Residence where you can now book (well in advance) to tour the magnificent gardens. The restaurant next door (owned by another brother) is well worth a visit - delicious, innovative cooking, great service (they speak Eng too). But book in advance as it is obviously popular with Italians too.

The Bed&Breakfast "Fiorella" offers to its guest a naturalistic stay, in the magic atmosphere of the lake Albano of Castel Gandolfo. It is surrounded by the natural park of Castelli Romani, at only 2 km from Castel Gandolfo and 20 km from Rome, easly accessible by train and bus. Our house offers one double bed, one single bed, one private kitchen, one dining room and two bathrooms. There is an internal parking.

A quiet, green alley leads to this charming place, which is part of a typical Italian house, with a beautiful garden and a great view over the lake. Matteo, the host, is one of the kindest you can imagine. He was very polite and helpful. It was the first time I went there, but I truly hope to go back ASAP.

La Casa sul Lago is surrounded by green patios and from its windows you can admire the view over the lake of Castel Gandolfo, the shores of which you can reach walking along the few yards separating it from the house. The beach front calls for walks that are able to reconciliate you with nature. Guests will find a comfortable atmosphere, with bright and spacious rooms with adjoining baths upstairs.
Nice, homely place
Reviewed By Julie PWe stayed two nights in March which is off season so it was very quiet, which we liked. The place seems to be run by an elderly couple, who are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are good and breakfast is nice and served whenever you like. We stayed in the room with a view of the lake where the bathroom is across the hall, but still a private bathroom. The windows facing the lake are smaller than expected but you still get a really nice view from the bed.
