Under Management: Janice and Peter will be happy to greet you! Ocean front motel. All rooms have beautiful ocean and mountain views. 16 rooms offer private balconies with this view. Free wifi and the usual standard amenities in all our rooms; kitchen suites are especially spacious.

Reviewed By chasonskeThis is a great value choice motel with fabulous views from the upper floor rooms We saw dolphins, seals and eagles from the room (take some binoculars) The motel is a bit tired, needs some modernising, but it is clean and comfortable and great value with 2 bedrooms and a well equipped kitchenette Parking is easy (ignore the reviews that say it’s difficult unless you have a massive truck) Walking distance to the pier and city shops and restaurants in about 10-15 mins Overall, a decent choice and we’d stay here again

Reviewed By gloriainmexicoWe stayed at the Ocean Resort for two nights over the Labour Day weekend. We found the resort to be quiet & peaceful with a beautiful ocean view. The staff were polite & friendly although we were definitely not able to check in before 3:00 p.m. The room was very basic but clean. The beds were comfortable. Our room was not cleaned during our two day stay but there were sufficient towels, etc. provided. Toiletries are lovely. TV & wifi are available in the room. No breakfast, coffee & tea are available in the main lobby.

Oceanfront at a Great Price!
Reviewed By CanadianGalVancouverWe came to Campbell River for an overnight stay while we were house hunting. I found this hotel online and the price was right. We were very pleasantly surprised! Although the hotel is older and a little dated it is very clean with excellent service. Every room has a small balcony. We had dinner in the restaurant and the baby back ribs are amazing! Also a breakfast was included. I had the bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast and my hubby had the pancakes. And coffee or tea was included. A full breakfast that was delicious. If you are looking for a fancy Fairmont type of hotel this won’t be for you. If you want a clean, friendly place to lay your head at night I would highly recommend it.

This resort was once owned and operated by Oak bay Marine Group, which provided a decent level of service and won their guests back year after year, but now it is owned by some foreign corporation that treats it like a slum. Poor training, unprofessional service and now, today, both phone lines for the website are down... But guess what's up? The room rates! You can't make this stuff up. The clowns have taken over this circus. Visit the property, enjoy the views, have a drink on the deck of the pub, but for heaven's sake, don't pay them to stay there. You will be disapointed.

Although there is no AC the ocean breeze and fan provided will do the trick. The gentleman who checked us in was pleasant and friendly. Absolutely no issues with this hotel and would / will stay again for the bargain deal!

Try to ripoff them
Reviewed By ophelie31840We booked a room from booking and when we arrived to the hotel they told us it was not registered on their computer but they had a room, more expensive of course. The can not do the same price than on internet so even you booked your room in advance they will try to charge you more... this is not professional. Shame on this hotel! We choose another motel, Vista del Mar, much more professional.
