Big family trip
Reviewed By geoasaWe had great service from beginning to end. Our rooms were spacious. We were a family of 11 and they made us feel like we were easy to fit into their hotel. Our kids are noisy and rambunctious and no one made us feel unwelcomed.Definitely a place we would stay at again!

Comfortable room for overnight stay
Reviewed By Debbie SWe stayed here on road trip to visit daughter and while the room was very clean and comfortable we were extremely disappointed to find out the internet wasn’t working.When we closed the windows we started to notice a strong smell of smoke comeing from bathroom area. We were also very u happy to find that there is no coffee maker in the room and it wasn’t available at the office until after 830 am.

The owner gave my multiple scenic suggestions and local eatery tips. The hotel itself is very clean, and has everything you need and MORE. Great coffee selection, unlimited filtered water and snacks. Staff is always willing to go above and beyond, and are more than accommodating to my last minute booking schedule. As I frequent this hotel for work related trips, they are always extremely flexible and very happy to help out. I always stay at this location and have no intention of staying elsewhere, ever. A short drive to Sauble Beach for vacationers in the summer months. 10/10.

Awesome owners and great location
Reviewed By RobertG2354We stayed for 5 nights at the Sauble Beach Lodge from August 30 to September 4th 2021. Great location. Only a few walking minutes to the beach and the downtown. The owners Jas and Jassy Grewal are the best. They will do anything in their power to help if you need anything. Heated pool was very clean and BBQ and Camp Fire on site to use. The place very well taken care of. Only a few rooms not updated which will be done at the end of the year. We would definitely go back. Family friendly environment .

Weekend family getaway - Great experience
Reviewed By janetcK2683STI booked 4 rooms (2 rooms with Double Beds + Kitchenette; 2 rooms with 1 Queen Bed) for my whole family. There were 12 of us, just for 1 Saturday night. This is a family-friendly, clean motel. Location is short walk to Tobermory harbour and to experience other attractions. Though it was along Hwy 6, we found it peaceful and quite. Parking is right at your door, easier unloading and loading. We enjoyed our stay. Kuerig machine /coffee available in the rooms. It was relaxing ambiance sitting in colored chairs at the front yard. Bonus was, we were able to do our BBQ, eat on picnic table, gathered around a pit fire, roast marshmallows at the backyard (we bought our woods from neighbor convenience store) Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. If you have younger kids, with the kitchenette works best. Thank you, Wendy and Terry. Overall, t'was an amazing experience.

It was clean, close to all the restaurants, quick access to return to our events and quiet at night for sleeping. There was a cafe but our day started too early to dine there . Forgot to bring bathing suits so can"t comment on the pool. Overall it met all our needs

Not what it used to be

I am a platinum elite member and that means absolutely nothing to the management or staff. The front desk is a joke. Rates for weekends (even though I am a long term stay guest) are extortionate. This will definitely be the last time I stay here and I would never, ever recommend this property, save your money and go along the street to the Marriott or to Port Elgin. My rate fluctuated from $149 to $260 for a Saturday night. This is totally unacceptable to a long term stay guest as myself ??????

Winter rates are $89, summer rates (min 2 night stay on weekends) are $119 plus tax based on double occupancy. Can accommodate trailers, big rigs, etc. All rooms are non-smoking. Inquire about pets. Valid credit card required for reservations.
Ok, but don’t expect amenities.
Reviewed By panthrburrFound this place after getting off the ferry. Rooms looked nice and the person at reception, Alice, was pleasant. Went for dinner at her suggestion, returned to settle in for the night. First off, no wifi password and not provided at check in. Second, tv cable box didn’t work nor was the internet connected to the smart tv. Beds are hard like you’re lying on plywood. Trying to reach someone for help was no good as no answer despite a couple messages and another number at the front office door was not responded to either. (Eventually did receive the password but it was wrong.) Price was jacked as the whole area had an influx of travellers during the May long weekend. Price gouging, much? Room was big, clean, floors were laminate instead of carpet, a good idea. Fridge, microwave, heater/ac unit all functional. If you’re heading North toward Wiarton and have no other options I’d say it’s ok in a pinch. Otherwise just drive on by.

The rooms offer a flat screen TV and air conditioning, and getting online is possible, as free wifi is available, allowing you to rest and refresh with ease. Guests arriving by vehicle have access to free parking. Grandview looks forward to welcoming you on your visit to Tobermory. Our restaurant is no longer open, we apologize for any disappointments.

Good thing we showed up with our printed and emailed confirmation of 2 beds but they could only offer us 1 bed, which made for an uncomfortable stay . The woman who helped us even claimed we were wrong until we showed her the emails we received that confirmed our booking. While we remained polite, she lacked professionalism by being unkind, accusatory, and never apologized after she saw our confirmation email. The next day, there was a room available (matching our original booking) and she said we didnt have to pay extra for our new room as if she was doing us a favour. I remained polite the entire time throughout our stay with this condescending service, but I realize now in hindsight, we were very mistreated by the staff. I can sense they have prejudices against certain people and that they do not treat all guests equally. I also had red bumpy bites all over my torso when I got home. I don't think they were bed bugs but I immediately washed all my clothes, to be safe. I had called the motel after and they said it wouldn't have been bed bugs and that it could have been other bugs while hiking. To be safe, check the mattresses before sleeping.

Good Business Layover
Reviewed By glennlistThis hotel is undergoing a renovation and the rooms are quite nice now. Unfortunately the restaraunt is not open for dinner due to Covid, I presume. All in all, I was happy with my stay and will definately use this hotel in the future
