This traditional alpine-style and family-run hotel is located in center of Bischofswiesen. It has 54 beds in friendly single, double and family rooms, all of which were renovated and redesigned in October 2017. Thanks to the excellent location, many tourist attractions like lake Königsee, Eagle nest and Salt mine can be reached by car in a few minutes. Directly near the house there is a large parking area, also for travel buses. On the nearby street there are two bus stops. The bus line 841 will take you to Bad Reichenhall or via Berchtesgaden to Königsee and Jenner. The train station is only 5 minutes walking from us. Check-in hours are from 14:00 to 20:00 (2:00 pm – 8:00 pm). If required, you can let your luggage in the lobby and pick it up during the day. Surprisingly awesome
Reviewed By 301timrMy first impression of the hotel was that everything was a bit tired. However, we were met really warmly by Franz and were made to feel at home. Everything was clean and tidy with absolutely no problems with the room or anything else. The breakfast was the out and out winner for me. Continental, plus Bavarian breakfast plus English breakfast. Great coffee too! They leave out some biscuits and coffee in the reception and have beers available to buy. We were there just after Christmas and so they put on a complimentary coffee, cake and mulled wine afternoon tea. We’d just got in from an amazing walk and were seriously chuffed to see it all there. Really nice touch. The restaurant opposite is good enough, we had the ox steaks with horseradish sauce which was great value and very tasty. It was actually a better meal then the one we had the night before in Berchtesgaden, which we reckoned was over priced. We will stay here again. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant stay
Reviewed By AnnemansfeldWe - a family of 4 - stayed at this hotel for a week in February 2017 when we were on a skiing trip to Berchtesgaden. We arrived very early but were immediately checkef in to out very spacious, clean and comfortable room. Through out the week we made use of the very nice facilities of the hotel including the spa and wellness area. We were on half pension and both the breakfast buffet and the three course dinner at night were of good quality. The traditional cuisine of the area is tasty but on the heavy side, so we were pleased to find fresh fish on the menu twice. The hotel is beautifully situated in a very convenient distance to both the town of Berchtesgaden and the various skiing areas. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and attentive - also to children. Only thing we missed was a sitting area with comfortable furniture (sofas etc) and a fire place where guests could relax and converse after the skiing. We are definately returning - also in the summer time.

Mit einem beeindruckenden Weitblick auf die schneebedeckten Gipfel von Watzmann und Hochkalter ist der Kulturhof der richtige Ort, um Beieinander zu sein. So unterschiedlich wie unsere Gäste, sind auch unsere 24 Hotel- und 10 Stadlzimmer: von Doppelbett über Maisonette bis hin zu Herzblattl- und Windrösal Suite, barrierefrei, mit Balkon oder eigener Terrasse und kinderfreundlich mit Galerie. Gefertigt mit Naturmaterialien wie Lehm und Mondholz aus unserer Region, haben unsere Zimmer noch etwas gemeinsam: einen freien Blick über die unbeschreibliche Bergkulisse. Natürlich kann man diesen auch von unserem Außenbereich bestaunen, entweder von unserer Liegefläche am Natur-Schwimmteich oder entspannt aus unserem separaten Saunabereich mit Panoramafenster. Vom Hauptbahnhof Berchtesgaden erreicht man uns mit dem Auto in nur fünf Minuten, vom Salzburger Flughafen in etwa einer halben Stunde und vom Flughafen München in gut zwei Stunden.

Clean and comfy but far from city centre
Reviewed By JaroslavJ55I stayed here with my family on September. Reception is in different building but close to accomodation. Parking place is just outside the building. Rooms are clean and comfy but small and only with standard furniture without TV and WiFi. Centre have various possibilities hoe to spend free time with different games. Breakfast are good quality. Accomodation have a common kitchen with basic equipment where you can prepare your own food. If you want to get to the city a car is a must otherwise you walk 30 minutes to the centre. The advertised accomodation price is good, but beware you must be member of the German Jugendherberge community. If you not which is the case of all host from abroad you will pay aditional registration fee and tax for each day of your stay. With this fees the overall price reach the level off other accommodations located directly in the city centre.

Reviewed By natiki1We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and rooms were spacious and clean and I must admit that when I saw the bed I was thinking that it looked really uncomfortable but it was one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had! We had room with balcony and the view on the Eagle’s nest . Breakfast was nice and rich and I love the fresh pretzels and bread! Only bad think is the wifi... in our room we couldn’t reach it and even when we came down to the lobby to just download pictures to instagram the wifi wasn’t strong enough to do it. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Great people, excellent service and our room faced the Watzmann mountain. Hard to beat that. We highly recommend the Alpenvilla on your next visit to this area.

Reviewed By RobertoI78What we liked Strategic position between Berchtesgaden and Salzburg. Idyllic location among meadows with cows and their bells. All around stunning views of the mountains, from the Eagle’s nest to the Watzman. Nice garden with small swimming pool and play area for kids. Spacious and well equipped rooms. What we did not like Cold hospitality, at our arrival nobody was in the house, just a message stuck on the door, in German … are we supposed to speak German? I don’t expect Italian, but at least English… lack of customer care. The day after at breakfast we found the receipt on our table and we were asked to pay the bill for our Sunday to Sunday stay by Wednesday because on Thursday she were leaving for her holidays. Payment by cash despite ec-card seems to be accepted on Booking. While initial cleaning apparently seemed good, the daily cleaning was very poor. Towels had never been changed in a week. Cleaning even poorer in the breakfast room (crumbles made by our child never swept).

Reviewed By KitedavoWe booked this so we could hike to the eagles nest Very nice and friendly owner who supplied us with stacks of information. It is located on a hill looking at the eagles nest. It is a beautiful location. Room was very authentic, styled in the local theme. The sleep rating is 10/10. Very quite at night and very dark being in a country setting. Room was spotless and all cooking utensils are supplied. Fridge, kettle and toaster also supplied. The view from the balcony is spectacular. No issues and I would definitely pick this property if I came back to this area again.
