Reviewed By Marisol GThe hotel is very well located, a five minute walk from the train station and Acapulco Therme. There's a restaurant where we had dinner during our stay, with a good selection of food. On arrival, we received two complementary bags with a dressing gown and a towel, which came handy for the spa at the hotel. We travelled by train from Vienna and when we got to Wels, there was no bus service and Uber taxis. The next train to Bad Scallerbach was a two hours wait. We took a taxi which cost us £30.This was on a Sunday so maybe there was a shortage of public transport. This is not this was not the hotel'staff fault but maybe something that they could look into. We liked the hotel very much but thought it was a bit pricey. Some staff at reception could smile more.

Very modern mediterranean style place!
Reviewed By SirUtherWhat looks like an Italian name might confuse you a bit in the first place. Yet in fact it is Croatian, which is also mediterranean of course but with some fine differences here and there. The first impression is - wow, not only modern but feels like seaside! The welcome is extraordinarily warm and gentle so that you start relaxing within minutes after your initial arrival. The rooms are spacious and light, so you have enough space to move, even with bulky luggage. There are even barrier free rooms available, so it's a good advise for all ages and fitness levels. The rooms are quiet, so there should be no disturbances, also at night. The TV offers many channels, a water is waiting for you on the table and everything is pretty straight forward (also the slot just when you enter the door where you put your room card (switching on light etc.). Breakfast was just delicious, everything was fresh, extremely savoury, coffee & juice were to my liking as well. All this plus a hearty goodbye makes me want to visit Valentino again whenever I'm staying in this region. Both thumbs up for the Valentino "crew".

Reviewed By LDP-ViennaOn this particular weekend when my family & friends came to visit me again here in Bad Schallerbach while I am still undergoing cardio-rehab, we had to book separate hotels for they were quite a lot (we needed 9 rooms) and unfortunately, Parkhotel could not accommodate all of us for they were fully booked so we ended staying in Garni, a sister company that allows us free use of the same facilities in Parkhotel. Some of the members of my family had to stay at another neighboring hotel. However, the rooms we got at Garni that has a 3* category is beyond compare naturally to Parkhotel and yet still beyond compare to the other hotels of her same category. The shower's cubicle is falling apart, the wash-basin is clogged but the shower drainage was worst 'cos until the morning the water was still there! One very late evening after coming back from the thermal complex, we found the elevator stucked but it was too late at night and no staff in sight to complain to, so my mom with a newly operated hip had to climb the stairs until 3rd floor. We got up the next morning to find it still not working (a woman on wheelchair was totally worried how to get down from the 3rd floor) therefore I went straight to the reception of Parkhotel to complain. Well their action was prompt and they immediately had it repaired. On the positive side, this hotel is in a good location, breakfast which is being served at Parkhotel is delicious as well as the use of Parkhotels indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzi and fitness gym. Nevertheless, the management should improve and regularly check their hotel's maintenance to keep their guests satisfied!

A very nice place to stay
Reviewed By KNav_12We were a large party (4 adults, 3 children) so we first decided to take the 3-bedroom apartment. Some time before our travel date, the owner contacted me to see if we would mind changing to two apartments since she had a long-stay interested in the larger apartment. We agreed to the change. Dealing with Ms. Bayer was easy, she was very pleasant and willing to communicate. Picking up the keys is easy since there is a variety store that is open and caters to the guests in the flats. The windows face the street, which is a picturesque main street of the town. Be careful - there are only a few real restaurants in the area since the town is quite small. I would recommend the Valentino or Atrium. If you add breakfast, it is served in the Stadt Wien café across the street. Otherwise, the kitchens are well-equipped and there are two grocery stores within a 5-minute walk. We spent our days at the Aquapoolco resort, but the flats were a great refuge after a full day of swimming. Also, the window shades are great! Only two points to look out for: there is not a lift at this property and there is a small bistro right by the main door. We didn't have a problem during the evenings, but if there was to be a loud group, guests could have a hard time falling asleep. All in all, a great property!!!
