Great location, friendly staff
Reviewed By BakoymaI really enjoyed this hostel - the location is awesome, the area itself has several hostels and lights up a bit in the night (not too party style or invasive, just cosy really) an it's not hard to walk there from the train station when you arrive. The room was good, aircon, bathroom with shower, comfortable beds. There wasn't too much space to hang clothes etc though, but it was ok. The wifi was awesome, even in the room. The only downside was it has no lift, so if you have a lot of luggage it's a bit of a haul up the stairs (was fine for us, but we only had one suitcase and a backpack). The staff was really friendly and helpful, their English was reasonable to good. There are some restaurants around the area so you can eat without travelling far - also there's a nice supermarket right around the corner for pretty much everything you could need.

Reviewed By dajamtartMe and a friend stayed here for 2 nights to go to the National Park, which it’s very close to. The rooms are very basic but did fine. Beds were a bit hard and it’s a bit far from the train station but it was ok.

Great stay while exploring the national park
Reviewed By Lottie95Stayed at this hostel for 5 nights while travelling to the national park, glass bridge and tianmen mountain. It's a small hostel but it's a very good price for a private double room with a bathroom, TV (with tons of English films on) and plenty of luggage space. The sheets didn't get cleaned during our stay, nor did the room as such, this could've been due to the fact we couldn't speak Chinese and the staff couldn't speak English (perhaps if we could've asked then I'm sure they would've!) There are plenty of local restaurants/food stalls near by to get food and a few big supermarkets too. From the station to the hostel (either way) you can catch bus number 6, it's 2 YUAN per journey and stops right outside both, the station and the hostel. You'll be needing to catch this a few times to the train station as the buses to the attractions leave from the big bus station by the train station! There is possibly a few better restaurants located nearer the stations but it's similar kind of food anyway. Also, there is a free washing machine at the hostel and powder is provided. It's at the top floor of the hostel and you also get a great view of 'Heavens gate' at tianmen mountain from there too. Definitely recommend this hostel, even if you can't speak a word of Chinese they provide English maps for the park and are genuine and really nice people here.

Fantastic location for visiting Tianmen Mountain
Reviewed By Winston SWe found this place by accident after a tout brought us to the neighborhood but things did not work out. That is when we decided to go upstairs to Bajie Guanli Rd branch. It is located on the 10th floor in a high rise adjacent to the bus station (west perimeter of bus station compound). Thus if you are arriving by bus or train it is only 5-10 minute walk to the hostel. From the hostel to the Tianmen Mountain cableway station is a 15 minute walk. The reception desk is right by the elevator. Rooms were big, bright, clean, well maintained and equipped with indoor heater/AC and hot water. Best of all they were very helpful with advising us on how best to tour Tianmen Mountain the next day. Additionally they also provided us with a printed English/Chinese Zhangjiajie hiking map for the next leg of our journey to Wulinyuan. That turned out to be pretty valuable as the government ticket center did not provide any maps! Besides the McDonald's in the bus station they can also point you to some decent local restaurants. We found 胡师傅三下锅 nearby was quite tasty (menu in English also).

Comma hostel is lacated in awsome lacation which is just 50m away from wulingyuan bus station.We offer different rooms for travellers,star quality but valuable price with good atmosphere.Here you always can find a way to enjoy your trip in zhangjiajie and that is what we want to.Comma,for a better start.
Nice location
Reviewed By iristalettaWe stayed here for 3 nights as it is close to the bus station and close to one of the gates to the park. Upon arrival the girl at the reception took her time to explain the map of the mountain and she recommended some routes for us to take and we ended up mainly following her suggestions. It is a hostel however we had a room with our own bathroom. The only complain really was the fact that the room was super cold and it took all night for the air con to heat up the room. We were her in late. November. There are lot of places to eat around the hotel and we found the corner restaurant to be our breakfast place, super friendly people that even gave us hot water to fill up our thermos before we went hiking.
