Russia’s historic gateway to Western Europe, the North-West is home to St. Petersburg, the country’s capital until the early 18th century. A very large area bordering Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Belarus in the west (as well as Kaliningrad, the little extra slice of Russia that lies between Lithuania and Poland), North-West Russia stretches in the east to the Ural Mountains. A large number of Russia’s national parks are here, as well as the historically significant areas of Novgorod and Karelia.

Soul Kitchen is ideally located in the most beautiful and central area of St Petersburg (near St Isaac's cathedral) in 150 years old neo-baroc building, within a short walking distance to all major attractions and interesting spots of the city.
1. Located in the center of St.Petersburg. 2. Cozy and neat place. Good to relax between the short tour (Because I almost traveled by walk. For me, The outside was harsh because of the weather and the hostel was heaven.) 3. Kitchen is clean. You can pick up some groceries at a mart and have them in the kitchen.

Hostel "Akka Knibekayze" is named after a wise goose, leader of a pack of geese flying to Lapland! And we are in Russian Lapland on the Kola Peninsula. In our special hostel for skiers, it is convenient for companies and solo travelers! We have five four-bedded rooms and four six-bed rooms. A huge room-cabin and the best ski-room in Kirovsk!
Genial para el precio, el dueño es majísimo y muy buena persona. La sala común es ideal para el ambiente. Great for that price, the owner is very nice and a very good person. The living room was ideal for the environment.

KINO-Hostel is a magical place where You can try your own time travel experience. Each of our hostels is like a cinema, that shows you a part of the last century. Great atmosphere of old movies or 8-bit games, low prices and comfortable rooms - this is truly the best combination for your perfect trip to Saint-Petersburg. And don't forget about friendly staff, who is always ready to help you! - free Wi-Fi in all rooms - big lounge with TV, DVDs, books on different languages and table games - guest kitchen with free pure water, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and everything you need for cooking - free washing machine, iron, hair-dryer, lockers and safe deposit We don't say we are the best, we just do everything we can, so our guests could think so.
The location is very good as there are two metro stations just across the street and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The kitchen and the bathrooms/showers were good and the fact that they have free pure water available in the kitchen is great. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm for a few nights and the lockers in the room were spacious. The only cons about the room were the creaky beds and the busy street outside the window, but I got used to them after the first night. The other guests in the hostel seemed to be mostly Russians and not all staff members had great English skills. The staff members whose English was good were nice and helpful, but the other ones were more abrupt. You also need to ring a doorbell every time you want to get inside the hostel, which can be a bit bad if no one's there to open the door (happened to me once). However, considering the price, I would recommend this if you need a budget friendly place to stay in St. Petersburg!

A lifetime experience. There's a revolutionary inside of all of us! Recommended by LONELY PLANET. Author's choice. Cuba Hostel is located in the very same building where the famous composer Rachmaninov has lived and worked. Years later, it was made a Socialist Communalka. Nowadays, it is the right choice for those looking for budget prices in the very heart of St Petersburg. Best cost benefit rate since you are within walking distance to the Hermitage, and just behind Kazan Cathedral. A 3 minute walk from the subway - the famous Nevsky Prospect. Art, history and Russian culture with a few shots of vodka to spice! So, if you are rrreally smart, Cubahostel is the place for you! Night Life : The best lesson from Socialism is sharing! That's why our team is always keen to go out with our guests. Mainly to the places and parties that are NOT in the guidebooks, sharing experiences from a local point of view.
Location is very good, living conditions is clean and comfortable also, it's located near to center, metro station is within walking distance. The receptionist is very friendly, communicable in English.

Great location, clean hostel, comfy beds, spacious rooms, super spacious lockers, breakfast included. Loved their electronic door/locker key bracelets. This hostel in a small resort definitely sets a high standard for all the other hostels you'll stay in.

I visited Taiga House with my son in September 2019, and it was a great place to stay during the week we were in Saint Petersburg. We had the Bookworm Suite, which was of a comfortable size and had pleasant décor. The staff -- particularly Andrei -- were friendly and helpful, and many fun conversations with other guests were had in the kitchen. Once the pandemic ends, I would love to visit St. Petersburg again, and you can bet I would book a room at Taiga for this return trip.
