Very nice stay in Suzhou
Reviewed By Aurélia BVery nice youth hostel among the canals of Suzhou. There are dormitories for three and four people, charming courtyards, a clean bathroom and a nice shared room (but the hot air conditionning was broken). We can borrow some bikes for 20 yuans a day. The employees are welcoming even if they don't speak english very well. We enjoyed our stay ! Auberge de jeunesse très mignonne, située dans le dédale des canaux de Suzhou à deux pas de la rue principale.

Reviewed By Xueyan DAfter 3 years I came back to this hostel, only to find it in a worse state than before. It looks humid, dirty, and in great need for renovation. The coffee is ok, though expensive. The location is nice, but can be crowded during the day, weekends and festivals.

Very lovely
Reviewed By Martha JLovely budget hostel in the center of Suzhou. Staff is very helpful. The owner showed us some PlayStation games from 1990 - very funny (try Tank A 1990). Cozy surroundings. And the cutest dog! You can rent bicycles and electric scooters. And buy cheap beer.

Cheap, basic but need renovations

It is close to main touristic spots and the staff speak english and they provide you thebasic information for your stay. Rooms needs to be renovated, cleanliness is fair and wifi worked quite good. It could become noisy at night time, there is a pub with live music next door.

住过最差的青旅没有之一
Reviewed By qingchunwuhui还是不要去朝天宫国际青旅为好，住过最差的国际青旅，没有之一！很纳闷这个怎么复合青旅的标准的！晚上没盖被子睡的，不敢盖啊！最主要没有安全出口确切说安全出口被锁死了！只有一个电梯上下，但是电梯里烟味久久不能散去！卫生间到处是哪些很难清洗的污渍黄黄的，洗漱台好脏，马桶我没敢用！前台服务好差劲。

Happily stayed two nights
Reviewed By Lana SStayed two nights in a twin room with my partner (we were given the option of a double room, but without a window so we chose the window- beds were big enough for two anyway). On arrival the entrance looked like a friendly hostel, decorated with lots of tourist information and illustrations but there wasn't too many people around, although here was a friendly cat! Room was clean and basic, as expected. Shower was a bit rubbish though, water pressure was low, as was the height. There were two hand towels in the room, bug repellent, scented pillows and a small hairdryer. A free breakfast was nice, bit there was one option (port dumplings) and portion size as small. The bar closed at 10.00pm, which made it seem like we were unwelcome in the communal areas. The bar was nice but when I ordered a beer and a gin and tonic, the bar tender was very unsure, the beer was warm and the gin was over tonic'd. There is two friendly dogs milling about outside and a large Doraemon statue. Overall, pleasant stay but not much of an atmosphere for a hostel that looked so promising.

Reviewed By terryjudy首先我觉得这家旅馆值得推荐，尤其是适合想去明孝陵、中山陵或者钟山玩的人。 1、交通：这家酒店就在明孝陵旁边，离明孝陵景区的4号门很近，因此尤其适合想去明孝陵游览的人，然后这家酒店离中山陵也很近，走路的话大概半个小时，或者也可以走到主路上搭公交或者电瓶车过去，不算等车的时间的话5分钟就能到了，公交是2块，电瓶车10块。旁边还有美龄宫，走路可到。但对于搭公共交通到这家旅馆的人来说可能会很不方便，在苜蓿园地铁闸出来，走路走到旅馆大概要20分钟，而且晚上走的话这条路比较僻静，偶尔会有车经过，说不上不安全，只是心里会不踏实，所以推荐可以搭个的士或者滴滴进去。旅馆门前有停车场，可以自驾过来。 2、服务：工作人员都挺积极挺热情的，态度很好。 3、客房：房间不算很好，墙面有些地方稍微有点破旧，但是要求没有非常高的话也可以接受。房间不算大，基本设备设施都有提供，有电视、空调、热水壶、办公桌椅、台灯，床上有电热毯，浴室有吹风机，有一次性的洗刷用品提供，浴室有热水，不过要等好久水才会热，而且我住的房间洗澡的热水有点小，想要洗个舒服的热水澡是不太可能的。房间里茶包咖啡提供，还有几包免费的小零食。 4、餐饮：旅馆有早餐提供，早餐是固定一set的，然后还有牛奶、白粥和茶水可以自助，早餐不是奢华型的，但是很营养很健康，味道也很好，看着就很有胃口，非常的推荐。餐厅里好像也有午餐晚餐提供，餐饮环境挺不错的，在这里用餐应该也还可以的。 5、环境：旅馆的设计就有点欧美风的感觉，挺有特色的，环境很不错。因为远离市区，所以晚上会很安静，但这样周边也没什么消遣的，不过晚上也不太敢出去，外面的路又黑又僻静的。想要消遣就要去到苜蓿园地铁站旁的紫金生活广场，那里有很多吃的，只是路程稍微有点远。

A Sad Almost Abandoned Place
Reviewed By Raymond WThis hostel does not seem to serve much purpose, as the international backpacking contingent area avoiding Tongli en masse. We were not only the only foreign visitors present during our stay, but we saw only a sole Chinese guest too. The place simply has no atmosphere whatsoever, except for a desolate, abandoned vibe. There is a small bar and restaurant but it's a case of a vicious cycle.There are next to no guests, so they don't keep most of the food in stock. We tried to order fried rice, but they didn't have rice. I mean, seriously, no rice in China? We settled on a pizza instead but it was not exactly appetizing: just a small cardboard-like base covered with gooey cheese and a mere hint of meat. I guess this place was cheap enough overall, at a mere 150 yuan for a double. But there just wasn't any compelling reason to recommend this place as a hostel or even a simple guesthouse.
