I made a reservation for 3 days, 2 persons. Second day I received an e-mail for check inn although the reservation was made for 3 days later. I tried to explain the situation using the hotel e-mail. No answer. Had to book in another hotel. Later I was charged for the full period without any explanation.

Good location and value

Reviewed By Underwanderingstars

The location of the hostel is great for sightseeing and it’s a safe area. I booked a private room and it was loud during the day and night so a bit of a tough sleep. The blinds are garbage so light pours through in the morning. Also there was a camera right over my window and above the bed (outside the building) which was creepy. The washrooms arent great, there’s no hooks, half the doors dont lock and lights are all dead. Out front of the hostel is a bar that’s sometimes alright but it’s easy to meet people inside the kitchen lounge.

The location was great. The private rooms were small, basic but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The bed was comfy. The shower ran out of hot water and we had to tell the owner and wait half hour for hot water.

So bad we didn't even stay

Reviewed By Julian S

We literally left a few minutes after arriving. It's that bad! 1st view of it from the outside, looked dodgy. Thought it would get better inside, it was worse. It looked like they just put together random furniture and beds in a building and called it a hostel. Dirty and unkept. The thought of staying there for a night was depressing. We don't understand why all the other reviews are good.

Charming but disorganised

Reviewed By Hugh T

So the good things are a lovely garden and lovely staff and chilled terrace to look out over Bogota and providing coca tea - also excellent location in Candelaria, with great cafe round the corner. Like all hostels there's some coming and going which is also part of the charm but they could do with a little bit more organisation - for a brief stay of a couple of nights they managed to get my taxi pickup wrong both from the airport and going back to it, and on the only day I was there for breakfast it was cancelled! But like the vibe, lovely staff and great having some wonderful plants like Magnolia grandiflora and clouds of lantana around in what is a very urban city. And if breakfast is cancelled again, try going down to the square and La Punta Falsa for some great tamales.

Great location and well decorated but that's about it!

Reviewed By swardakan

Located in a wonderful neighborhood with very good decor but quite overrated and expensive. 200 USD for two nights in a room not even including breakfast wasn't worth it. It's probably good for people who share in dormitories but you're better off spending your money somewhere else if you'll pay for a private room. The staff are very nice but I still had to wait until 4:30 PM for my room since they didn't have enough housekeeping. That's 1.5 hrs after check in time.
