Reviewed By sandy22NewZealandwhat can we say this place was stunning. We had an apartmenbt looking out over the port. We sat on the deck and watched the big container ships coming and going. The only thing wrong was that we never got the sun on the deck but it was still nice and warm to be out there. The place had everything you needed even a drier and washer. Really clean and the bed was comfortable. one street back from the main beach so it was great to be able to walk and have a swim. The pool was also great and you could get some laps done in it.

Extension of stay date by phone from Oz was handled very well, thanks Nikki. Resort is very well situated with great amenities. Two bedroom unit was very comfortable, spacious and clean. This was especially appreciated when I had to isolate for seven days with COVID and my two household contact grandchildren. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. This will be my first go to place in future. Barry

Reviewed By Michele MHighly recommend and will stay again. Apartment 27 was clean, smelled fresh, well stocked kitchen utensils and had a perfect layout. Great to have onsite parking. Plush carpet and availability of a heat pump and electric blanket were a huge plus- especially on the cold rainy nights we had. Great location- close to both beach and harbour. Nothing could be faulted.

Reviewed By Terry MWe stayed three nights over a long weekend. The bed was too hard the first night but it was no trouble for the hosts to show us another room with a really comfy bed. We enjoyed riding our bikes along the beach to West Ohope, dining at the Wharf restaurant and plenty of walks along the beach and harbour. The takeaways and coffees were excellent at the cafe next door. Our room was a nice design and very quiet. We will definitely be back and we recommend this resort to couples and families.

Reviewed By Jayjay_bingWe arrived after hours, but easy instructions given for room access. We were pleasantly surprised with the free upgrade to a bigger apartment. It had everything we needed as a family... e.g. kitchenware, oven, stove, washer/dryer. It was perfectly located to the beach, hikes, town/restaurants and other amenities. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and it was nice to be able to come back and relax. Air con was wonderful, as it was very hot during our stay. Our kids loved being there, and we would definitely return again. We booked our trip through bookings.com. Great value for money!

Beachpoint Apartments offer short and long term accommodation with superb sea views. The apartments overlook 11km of unbroken and sandy beach and are ideal for spending time relaxing or taking tranquil or adventurous holidays. The superbly appointed 1 and 2 bedroom apartments overlook Ohope beach and have breathtaking ocean views out to the active volcano, White Island. The apartments are all fully self-contained and are self-serviced with crisp linen and beach towels. They have full kitchen and laundry facilities, SKY TV and free Wi-Fi. Beachpoint offers undercover parking, a heated swimming pool, fitness room and BBQ area. The local village shops are a short 200m stroll away and include a licenced restaurant, cafes and dairy. The apartments have large decks which allow you to relax, enjoy the view and to soak up the unique and tranquil atmosphere. Ohope beach is safe and great for swimming, surfing, stand up paddle boarding and other water activities.

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, apartment extremely clean - views fabulous. We had a problem with the bed in main bedroom - was advertised as Queen but was a double - not so good as my two adult girls were sharing this (Receptionist said it was double to my girls) management stood by it was a Queen in a conversation after we left -we beg to differ on that our girls both sleeping Queen beds at home Pool was advertised as heated - definately not, was cold (once again receptionist claimed it was turned off due to summer ) we visited on a cold stormy weekend and my mother couldn’t use pool - management claimed it had the chill taken off it - we beg to differ it was freezing Shame these 2 things were not right I had chosen Beachpoint due to location and pool - and was willing to pay more fore these things, and there was cheaper accomodation just as nice down the road offering a cold pool . Management contradicted everything receptionist said ? Choose carefully

The Pavilion Beachfront Apartments are located on the Main Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, East Coast Surf Beach. We have 1,2,3 and Penthouse Non-Serviced Apartments, which are fully self contained with full kitchens, Laundry, 80+ Guest select Sky TV, Minibars, Balconies, Free Secure Carpark and an Onsite Restaurant. We have Partial Seaview apartments on the side and back of the complex as well as full Oceanfront Apartments. All apartments are Non-Smoking inside, but smoking is allowed on the outside balconies which all apartments have. The 2 Bedroom Oceanfront Apartments have 2 bathrooms and have either 2 King /Queen beds or 1 King/Queen and 2 Single Beds. Some Apartments have foldout sofa beds on request. Just Park the car and walk to the famous cafe's, the Mount Natural saltwater Hot Pools, or into the Town centre within 5 minutes from the complex. Just sit on your Balcony with a wine in hand and watch the Ships and Cruise Ships go in and out of our famous Tauranga Port, or watch the beautiful Sunsets. Come and enjoy paradise

Reviewed By LEANNEL78Came for one night, stayed for three. Everything was fabulous, management, apartment , views, cleanliness, only fault hideous bed. Bed was hard, small and took the shine off. In fairness we knew it was a queen bed ( if that) but as everything else was awesome we stayed and would come back. Very convenient to restaurants and across the road from the beach. Thanks to the guy managing, he juggled thing so our one night stay could turn into three. Parking easy and secure! Huge bonus.

Horrible place!
Reviewed By princess5222I’d written a long review but it was over the character count. Basically, there’s 2 good things to say about the Anchorage Apartments. The location is good and the apartment was warm. Amongst the negatives were very tired cheap decor, a really small uncomfortable bed, tiny towels, no amenities like sachets of washing powder or dishwash liquid, and no wifi for 3 nights of our 7 night stay. The manager and receptionist are straight out of the Fawlty Towers Management School. We’ve stayed in lots of accommodation places at the Mount and in Tauranga over the last 30 years. This is the worst. We won’t be back and I recommend you avoid it too.
