Waitangi Holiday Park

We offer Waitangi accommodation including comfortable cabins and powered and non-powered camp sites, most with uninterrupted views of the Waitangi River. The Park provides a welcoming atmosphere and we try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible in relaxed surroundings. Our Bay of Islands accommodation is simple, but very clean and is suited to all budgets.

Dreadfully managed camp site. Unfriendly staff and overcrowded.

Reviewed By Bobarow

Arrived and was shown the park layout so we could choose our spot from the few pitches that were vacant. Picked a spot that at had a clear view. Spent three days here in total, but on day two, another Motorhome arrived that wanted to park right in front of us, literally 6 feet from our Motorhome in an unmarked pitch. Of course I asked him to move, but he wouldn’t. I approached the site reception staff who told me they told them to park there. And showed me a different pitch plan that had that space marked as a legitimate space. I suspect this was “their” plan..... Of course the chap in charge comes storming over to our Motorhome to show me his pitch plan, and then I showed him the plan I’d been given...both different! Ridiculous.......mine showed pitches with a clear view of the water, his showed Motorhome spaces so tightly packed in, including a pitch right in front of our awning.. The upshot was the van was moved away from our van. But not before it created a bad atmosphere between us and the offending camper van owners, who should have refused the park there in the first place as it was way to close to our Motorhome.. why are some people so inconsiderate? Anyway, met up with friends, ate some good food, drank some good wine.....but because of the dreadful unfriendly reception staff we won’t return. Not to mention the noise, the total lack of any modern facilities, the filthy dump area and the general state of the place with dogs running loose everywhere.......shame as It’s a great spot, but was just too overcrowded, vans rammed in to every inch. And no one policing it.....I suspect someone was making some extra money somewhere. Worst camp site out of the 11 we stayed on during our four week trip.... The manager, who was a big bloke, should be more careful getting in the face of a 60 year old women. Dreadful behaviour......totally unacceptable and unwarranted...

Amazing hospitality!

Reviewed By Panamerican5050

We stayed in the Campervan Park over a year ago and I've been meaning to write a review since then. We had a wonderful and surprising experience because of the weather. We were in our rooftent during the off season, so it was very quiet. We were very happy, enjoying the peace and quiet, the bbq / kitchen / communal shelter area, when the weather changed dramatically and the heavens opened. While we were happy to tough it out in our rooftent, Jan came to the rescue and insisted (in the nicest possible way) that we move into the apartments, as the weather forecast was the worst she had ever seen. Needless to say, we had a very luxurious night in a beautiful apartment. While we were pleased to see the next morning that our tent had withstood the torrential rain, we certainly enjoyed the upmarket accommodation. Thank you Jan for the memorable stay. We look forward to staying again, in better weather.

Situated on the outskirts of Paihia this place has a river running along side it that is fun for kids to swim in but safe. There is a pool onsite as well as playground and zip wire so plenty to occupy families. The facilities are very good with clean showers and toilets as well as communal kitchen and bbqs. Well run site and friendly staff.

Great staff, location and very clean

Reviewed By NMBJ

After an awful stay at another Top10 Holiday Park earlier in the year, we were reluctant to try another one. However, Top 10 Russell was lovely. We stayed in a kitchen cabin which although basic, was clean and had everything we needed. The grounds, bathroom and kitchen facilities were immaculate. The location is excellent, being walking distance to Russell village and a short ( 5 minute) drive over the hill to Long Beach. The cabins are located on a hill with beautiful views across to Paihia. Thank you Lorraine and Gary for putting our faith back into the Top 10 brand.

The Primrose at Paradise Valley Glamping

Wonderful place of paradise- Romantic - Luxury and very friendly owner

Reviewed By Frenchlockness

To call this place paradise, is an understatement. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear. As this was a romantic getaways for my partner and I, the owner was happy to upgrade me to a different *tent with a theme that was more fitting our personalities. *Not really tents at all, far more luxurious. Everything was thought of and catered for, right down to natural insect repellent! If felt as if all our stresses melted away as we walked around the pond and interacted with the friendly doves that fly around. The owner himself was such a helpful and kind man. He was happy to have a yarn with us, but left us our complete privacy. I cannot express how simply beautiful this place is and we will be visiting again as soon as possible. I highly recommend staying here. 20/20 Ness and Annamay
