I had best nights sleep bedding was amazing so comfy . Only got to see Ged Claire was in kitchen doing an amazing breakfast . Good choice for breakfast I'm not big fan of cooked but ordered it and it was amazing really good produce used . My other half couldn't believe I cleared plate

Reviewed By Dksmb86My partner surprised me with a 2 night trip for my birthday. This guest house is lovely, spotlessly clean and the hosts are genuinely lovely people. Breakfast was great, nothing too much trouble. Even got to meet their cat Dave! Would definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Family run bed and breakfast. Small and friendly, l do my best to make your holiday enjoyable. Double ensuite, twin ensuite and family ensuite rooms. We also have a double with private bathroom. Close to seafront, beach, shops, pubs etc.

We had a wonderful stay and was made to feel welcomed by the lovely Joanne. Our room was immaculate, spacious and well equipped. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Reviewed By Mf1875bluenoseFound this little gem. We had room 3 and the views are amazing. The room is very spacious and alright the bathroom is separate it wasn't a problem. Obviously with the current situation we had breakfast delivered to the room after ordering it via text message and couldn't fault it at all. Very clean and in an amazing location can only recommend this place. Would of loved to have met the owners to relay this face to face however they have an amazing set up from check in to check out during these torrid times

The Sands ideally located in magnificent position on Paignton Seafront just a few yards from the beach, green and harbour, and only a short level walk to the town centre. Efficently run in a friendly manner. We have gained a reputation in ensuring everyone is made to feel welcome and relaxed during their staywith us.

The Sands is in an excellent location with brilliant views across the sea front, close to the harbour and beach, with a short walk to the town centre. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing. Martin And Sue.

Vernon, proprietor, very helpful indeed and responded quickly to all queries. He couldn’t have done more for us and certainly went the extra mile for us on more than one occasion.

A small newly refurbished adult-only hotel, just 15 yards from a gorgeous sandy beach, we have stunning uninterrupted, panoramic sea-views from our relaxing conservatory and bedrooms. We serve delicious hearty breakfasts, and optional home-cooked evening meals. All rooms are en-suite with free WIFI and many small touches of luxury, or upgrade to a Deluxe or Superior Room for that Boutique feel with extras such as Nespresso Coffee Machines, walk in rainfall showers and Smart LED TVs. Why not try one of our new Seaview Suites which are already proving to be very popular. Ample free parking, a short level walk to the beach, a 10 minute stroll to either Paignton or Torquay harbours, and buses every 10 minutes to the rest of Torbay, the Channel View Boutique B&B is a perfect location for your short-break or longer holiday. Why not give us a try?
Really disappointing
Reviewed By AndyNapesI am a gold member and have used Hotels.com for over twenty years to book accommodation for business and leisure for over 20 years. Without exception, this hotel was our worst experience. We booked dinner, bed and breakfast at the Channel View on 2nd February 2022 at a cost of £240/night for 3 nights (3-6 June) in a “superior room” at the rear of the hotel. The last date for cancellation date was 4th May 2022. On 28th May, I received an email from the hoteliers, with 4 attachments, including check-in information (2 pages) & Covid-19 Policy (3.5 pages). After reading these, I think I may have cancelled had these been sent prior to the 4th May, because they felt so officious. On 30th May, Hotels.com sent an email which included “Check-in Friday, 3rd June 2022 (3 PM)”. When we arrived to book in at the appointed time, we were told that on-line customers must check-in after 6pm by one of the owners. The only concession was that we were allowed to leave our car and luggage. When I pointed out that Hotels.com stated 3pm, he answered, “That’s their problem” Subsequently, I reread the check-in information sheets sent on 28th May, in which there was no mention of the 6pm check-in. However, it was hidden away in an email sent on 2nd February (4 months beforehand). Therefore READ THE SMALL PRINT! On check-in, we were presented with another 1.5 page document summarising the dos and don’ts. We were also advised that even though we had booked dinner, bed & breakfast, dinner was not included and we had each been given a £25/night credit to spend at the hotel. This meant that we could only purchase two courses without breaking the budget! When I remonstrated, I was told that this was in their terms & conditions, READ THE SMALL PRINT! When we got to our first floor room, we were surprised to discover that the main railway line ran within 20 metres of the window. Up to 4 trains per hour run along this line from 6am to midnight. I cannot find any reference to this on the Hotels.com “show room information” site, but it may be included in the terms & conditions. READ THE SMALL PRINT! The hotel is well decorated and furnished and the evening meals are very good. However, I would concur with another gust who criticised the breakfasts (15 July 2017). It may come as no surprise that we will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

You can be sure of a warm welcome at Merriedale Guest House where your comfort is our priority. Merriedale is conveniently located in a quiet area adjacent to Victoria Park, only 250yds from the seafront and a short level walk to the town centre and its amenities. The coach and Railway stations are only a few minutes walk. At the front of the property we have free parking with sufficient space to accommodate one car per room.

The hosts are very welcoming, food was fantastic and the rooms although small are very nice indeed. I've stayed in many hotels in Paignton as we visit often because we have friends who live down there. This is easily the best hotel we've stayed in. Would highly recommend

Reviewed By Boo883The location of the B and B is ideal, short walk to Seafront and town. Hosts were friendly although after checking in we didn't really see them again as we didn't have breakfast. Now after reading other reviews I am left wondering if we stayed in an entirely different place!! I was disappointed. Our room was very small, more suited to a single bed rather than a double. Bathroom was tiny, shower was useless, a mere trickle of water. Overall cleanliness was not great. Surprising really with Covid still around. In fact, the whole finish of the room and ensuite was pretty dire. Yes, it's an old property but thats no excuse. For the room rate we have stayed in far superior, cleaner places.

Jo & Carl welcome you to the Jacaranda, we are a small friendly guest house centrally located to all amenities you would expect from a seaside resort. We are just approximately 100 yards from the sea front and just a 3-5 minute walk from the bus/train stations. Our guest house has eight comfortable clean letting rooms (all en-suite except one with private facilities), there are many bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk and a variety of things to do for all ages.
