We had a nice big room with a good view of the Mekong. The room was very clean and had excellent bed and linens. Good shower. They also have some nice landscaping, interesting antiques, a very good coffee shop, and plenty of photo opps for the Instagram addicts.

Great location, great hotel.
Reviewed By Stefania MWe stayed one night in this charming hotel and would definitely come back again. It is right in the center of Chiang Khan's old town. You can drive to the front of the hotel to leave your luggage, and their parking space not far away from the hotel. The rooms are small (we could fit two normal sized luggage), but clean and cozy. I would recommend to bring some ear plugs to sleep at night, as you can easily hear noises from the other rooms or the street (after all it is a wood house). The common area has a view to the Mekong river and it's great to sit and relax readying a book. They have a nice coffee shop with delicious homemade food. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, particularly Khun Bom, who once we mentioned we ate vegan food (while we were looking for something to eat in the coffee shop), she did her best adapt some food and even arranged for us to have a delicious mushroom conjee for our breakfast.

Phoo the receptionist is so helpful, obliging. She keeps the customers well informed of the environment. A very homely hotel. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By VarunyuThis hostel was very unique design and make me felt to old Chiangkhan and the room was very comfortable even not too specious and very close to night market and able to walk to 7/11 and to Mekhong river. I recommended for backpacker, solo traveller and with your close friend.

A nice place
Reviewed By ErikJ331Our stay here got a little bumpy start since no-one answered the phone, and to find the place without some directions can be a little problematic. But as soon as we had tackled this problem it was a very nice place to arrive at. Everything is very well maintained. The rooms was more than big enough for two persons, and everything was clean and totally spotless. Bathrooms is not that big, but but contains all needed equipment and clean as the rest. WiFi worked and was fast, water heater and coffee / water bottles were present. Aircondition was quiet in operation and bed good for sleep. Nothing fancy for breakfast, but what they got tasted good and we were happy all of us. We will stay at the same place at later visits to this city. Staff is excellent and cleanliness of the place is top too.

Reviewed By nalincredibleWe didn’t have lots of budget to pay. I found this guesthouse located next to Mae Kong River. I booked it despite not having private bathroom. Everything was fine. The owner recommended us many places to visit to see or eat. I wish the room should have something like door seal to stop insects to come in. I found a huge gecko in the room. Or there should be bathroom and/or toilet on the 2nd floor. It was difficult when I wanted to pee at night.

Old style Hotel within the picturesque Chaing Khan
Reviewed By YoungGunStayed for one night at the Ban Hao B&B after arriving in Chaing Khan wanting a place to stay – where the majority of Hotels and B&B’s were all booked up. The friendly owner managed to accommodate us for the one night for 500 baht which was cheap compared to the majority of the other accommodation within the centre of Chaing Khan. Although the Hotel / B&B is dated and the rooms were basic and had shared bathroom facilities. It still made our stay in this wonderful place a memorable one and I look forward to visiting Chaing Khan in the future. The accommodation is on Soi 5 and is a short walk down to Walking Street which is full of Food Vendors, Shops and the Nighlife of Chaing Khan. Plus the views of the Mekong River and Laos from the walkway are stunning. If you’re prepared to wake up early, the owner will prepare some food for 50 baht to give to the monks who walk the streets for blessings – they passed the Ban Hao B&B around 6.25am, so you need to get up early to see this and something that Chaing Khan is special for.

Reviewed By Tjilpi1948I had the misfortune of staying here a few days ago and, from my experience, the place is best avoided. My small room was extremely over priced for what is was (or wasn't). The 'view' was of the roof of the next residence. I had to carry my luggage up stairs and there was no hand-rail. (although staff did help me). We had booked 2 nights but after discussions with Agoda we abandoned the place and found a much better and less expensive resort on the river just out of town. Be warned!
