The room is spacious, the design is decent, the tv channel is good, the surrounding is super full of peaceful vibes and you can also find a cattle farm nearby and can walk to there. The herds are safe and you can play with them. I was here for a transit before going to Perhentian Island. the family was very sweet they really took care of our hospitality and what not, the best place ive went in kelantan. The next trip, i will come and stay here again thats for sure The price is really affordable. For this price, its a value over price property. Keep it up Riverside Greenery Inn for such wonderful experience

Basic room with friendly staff
Reviewed By melw6868A basic budget hotel with different variety of room types, which is good for me when I'm looking for room that can accommodate all 4 adults at fair price. There is no breakfast and wine bar like scott described; limited TV channels and toiletries (only soap and towels) - but that do not bother us much. It's about 20mins walking distance to museums, the Central market, shopping malls like Parkson, and Jalan Kebun Sultan (the Chinese town). Though slightly away from town, it's quieter at night and my parents like it (except during dusk.. all the birds chirping etc). The hotel staff are friendly and recommended several point of interest. They even offered to send us to the airport for our return trip as it's early morning and hard to get taxi =) All in all it's a good stay given the price and location.

Reviewed By macc20you can just walk across the road and you will reach USM. Surrounding area have a number of eateries and small supermarkets which is convenient. rooms were ok...good enough for a few days trip just to sleep and rest for the day

Budget Inn for Overnight Stopover
Reviewed By Steven YOvernight pitstop on a Kuala Lumpur-Bentong-Kota Bharu drive. Our windowless twin-bedded room was on the ground floor of a 2-storey shop lot. Our air-conditioned room could be described as bare necessity - attached bathroom with hot water; no chairs or table. LED televsion but poor reception. Cold and hot water dispenser in the common area. No complaint for a one-night stopover. There are 'better" rooms on the upper floor. There's a 7-Eleven store next door plus Muslim eating places behind the hotel. For non-halal food, just take a few minutes drive to the town centre and the "old" railway station.

Clean, affordable and friendly
Reviewed By LynnDhiaStayed here over Chinese New Year period when I was visiting some relatives. It's one of those places that you don't have high expectations for, but i was wrong. They've just gone thru a major facelift so everything is spanking new. One of the most important criteria for me is to have : 1) working aircond, 2) decent bed 3) decent shower 4) clean environment, and thankfully, everything was perfectly working, definitely TOTALLY worth every cent that I paid for (which was SUPER affordable) No breakfast, but it's close to the big market (as what locals call it), so lots of food around the area. Staff speaks english so that helps. All-in-all, i enjoyed my stay visiting relatives and friends, but it helped that i had a good night's rest to enjoy my holiday.

Pasir Belanda is located at a riverside in a kampong and is run by a Dutch couple. It???s just 2 km out of Kota Bharu and within 1 hour from the Perhentian Islands. The traditionally built wooden chalets have A/C and perfectly clean bathrooms. Workshops like batik painting, kite making and Malay cooking are conducted and bicycles are for rent. An ideal place to get the feeling of the Malay life, culture and handicrafts.

Now for the review... the cabin was comfortable, very clean and had everything you needed, but without all the things which you don’t need (clutter nick knacks etc). The gardens are beautiful with a good array of birds. The best part for us was the village. The locals (contrary to previous reviews) were extremely friendly. As a conservatively dressed western couple we felt very comfortable and were welcomed into local eating houses. We spent three days wandering around and found the atmosphere charming. Most authentic experience we have had in West Malaysia. The ‘resort’ itself has about 6 units, we were the only guests. The family and staff made us feel very welcome without being suffocating. We are at local stalls (although a challenge for vegans) and caught a Grab back into town for an Indian feed at the one and only Indian restaurant. Can highly recommend staying at Pasir Belanda. The only recommendation I could make is that I think it would be nice to include breakfast in the room rate (as it isn’t super cheap).

Reviewed By Fionz7The Perhentian islands although beautiful is one of those places that your money doesn’t stretch as far. Ewans was average at best, it looked like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, it was extremely hot (almost unbearable during the day) and the pillows were awful. That being said for the money for what you get on the island it’s not a bad choice still for budget backpackers as it’s still a private space. The location is good - two minutes walk from Coral Bay and about ten to long beach. Ewans restaurant was our go to for food as it was cheap, portions & selection were good as was the food. Although we read the wifi was reliable we couldn’t connect all four days.
