Reviewed By Tim SThere is much to like about this hotel. It is a new building, but has a little old world charm about it. Our bedroom overlooked the Zoo next door and so in addition to the odd sighting of a camel, the air was occasionally blessed with all manner of animal sounds. It felt at times like a safari, but was not in the least intrusive. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and well appointed. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the garden was a tranquil escape to sit in a choice of gazebos. We found it quite romantic. It's about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre, but there are a few decent cafe's/restaurants nearby. There are a couple of reasons I can't give it a 5/5, the first being the absence of a lift. It didn't bother us even though we were on the 3rd floor. Also the mosquitoes at night were a minor irritation, but shutting the windows before sundown proved the answer. (There was an airconditioner in our room). All in all a very enjoyable stay.

We lived in the big room for 6 person and 2 of us slept on the folding beds, but we don't need luxury :) As we came to the city by bikes, receptionist permitted us to leave bikes under the stairs, locked to the railing. There is a restaurant in the same building, but as I understood it's not so popular - I saw just few visitors for 3 days. So, better choose some restaurant in the city centre.

Reviewed By 406headroom small, shower dirty with hair from previous guests. As of late check in very unfriendly at the reception, probably lady wanted to sleep and not serve. Breakfast you can better skip, there are enough nice coffeeshops in town.

Cheap housing for a short journey
Reviewed By allie-the-oneWe've been staying in Robinson hostel for several days in January 2016. Despite the Christmas holidays, we took a cheap room cost 6000 RUR (about $95) for 2 persons. There are also some advantages of staying here. Firstly, a convenient booking and payment (your booking is fixed by your credit card number and money is debited after your arriving). There are also pleasant and helpful staff in here, and the unpretentious, but cute enough cafe on the ground floor which offers simple, tasty and not expensive dishes. But if you like a good coffee, you should buy and take it with yourself :) Otherwise, you'll have a warm soluble and low quality one. There is also sauna / Russian bath at Robinson hostel and, indeed, it's in demand, so you'd better to book it in advance. Disadvantages: the lack of hot water from time to time, what particularly infuriates in winter. I mean you could take a shower early in the morning and before 8 p.m. Then the guests wake up or come back from sightseeing and the water disappears. Closely and symply, but it's rather not a disadvantage - it's a reasonable correlation between price and quality. So if you're an undemanding and active tourist and not going to spend your holidays inside, it will be nice for you.

A scam hotel, no restaurant.
Reviewed By _graterreVery bad experience. We had booked a room for a week trip from "booking.com". Half of the hotel page description is about the very nice restaurant...wich doesn t exist! No restaurant, no kitchen staff, no professional kitchen at all. So we were trapped in there, and no restaurant easy to find nearby. The breakfast was a shame. Powder coffee, poor bread and cheese. Great and huge rooms, nice decoration, but bed unconfortable, windows on the parking were people smoke and talk at anytime. At 10 pm drunk people arrived in there and made such a mess we couldnt sleep. Bad phonic isolation, we could hear everything from the close rooms. A bad experience, but we could cancel our reservation without any problem, this must be told, and reception staff has been very polite. No english as well, just russian langugage.
