Reviewed By KaressonRight on the beach. I mean literarily on the sand - Ocean hotel stands refurbished with a mix of Scandi sleek design and somewhat Bohemic decor and naturalistic tones. Breakfast is amazing and it's nice to be sitting inside but feeling one's on the beach. There are terraces to the rooms and they are really generous in size. Dinner was nice but not exceptionally good although prices were very reasonable. Oh, EV owners - Free charging avail on site. BINGO. The gym is rather small but well equipped.

Unique environment! Our accommodation facility has a total of 40 rooms and 78 beds in three different houses inside Varberg's fortress. We have room size from 1-bed to 6-bed room. Welcome to check-in and stay in the cultural heritage!

Reviewed By SineadC86Stayed here for one night with the kids. Really unique and interesting. Much more memorable than a hotel. Amazing location and views. So much to explore in and around the B&B for the kids. Beach, playground, parks, skatepark and of course a huge castle! Our room was warm and cosy and the history of the place made it a real adventure for the kids. The host even gave us a mini tour of the old prison which was really cool. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for families wanting something more interesting than a standard hotel.

Satisfactory Service but overpriced for low season
Reviewed By Hallgren_NykvarnThis hotel is near the 2 golf courses Halmstad GK and Ringenäs and also near our old summer house in Tylösand. Thus we chose this for our memory lane visit. It advertised to be near the beach but actually really a longer walk and we didn't see any clear signs or best route to the beach even when we jogged. It has separate buildings for guest rooms and separate for reception and restaurant and conference rooms , which can be inconvenient to guests. It is difficult when it rains especially going to breakfast in the morning to another building, as there are no covered walks. Rooms were very small. but had two doors, one to the inner corridor the other leading to the grounds. We could park just outside the room and use the outer door for loading and unloading things--gives a feeling of convenience like in US motels. Personnel were very nice and service minded. They could also warm some bread for us in their kitchen on request. Breakfast was very good with choices for hot and cold food. The tables were very spread out and the buffet area requested guests to use new individual serving spoons every time. It gave a corona safe feeling. Even if the breakfast was very good, we felt that it was overpriced for a low season, Monday-Wednesday stay in late October and during the Corona times. Although, parking was free in the whole area.

Welcome to Nya Pallas Hotell! The small hotel with the big heart. WC, shower, phone and cable TV are available in every room. Personal service in a comfortable surrounding. Smoking and animals are not alowed in the hotel. Fast wireless internet connection. No charge. Pallas Hotell Beutiful hotel in a quiet area of central Falkenberg.The rooms are very well equipped, some with balcony. Breakfast and parking is included in price. We offer a good selection of wine, beer and other drinks.
Beautiful traditional guest house
Reviewed By IndiafromOzTo be honest I didnt have great expectations as I knew the property would be quite dated but our group had 5 rooms and we loved it! All our rooms had a little terrace or deck to sit out at - we also had many catch-ups in the gardens (lots of tables & chairs). Easy flat walk into town. Breakfast was basic but fine (we usually head into town for a pastry and coffee anyway). All the staff were lovely and helpful (good english too). It was cosy, simple and quiet. Would definitely go back if we are in Falkenburg again.

If you are in for a walk in the older parts of the town, you have it just outside the door. Also, The Museum of Drawings/Teckningsmuseet is located in the neighbouring house. The rooms are all decorated period correct in different decades, we stayed in the 30's room. Our room was very spacious and had nice and comfortable furniture. The bathroom was very well sized and had heated floor. All in all, yes, I do recommend this hotel!

Very mixed experience
Reviewed By 953christianwI have very mixed feelings about this hotel. We were looking for an outdoors experience with trails and a nice hotel to spend the nights. We stayed a total of three nights in a room at Tallhöjden and had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The good: + Dinners were very good. + The few staff are very helpful. + The place has a very local connection, serving local beer and food. They are also very engaged in the area which is nice to see. + Trails around the hotel are nice and there is a large variety to choose from. Note though that you need a car to get to many of them. The bad: - Time has stopped at this place, and not in a good way. Things are falling of old chairs in the dining area, decorations has just been added on top of each other as they came in etc. - Though the room was clean, other parts of the hotel was not, with thick layers of dust in places that you don't get to easily. - Breakfast was not at all up to the same standard as the dinners, quite the opposite. - Almost no ventilation in the room. The shower never really dried up after being used daily and we had open the door to the patio daily to air out the room after sleeping. - Dinner drinks were very steeply priced and not specified. If I am to pay a premium price for the wine it needs to be good quality and specified in the menu. All in all, this resulted in very mixed feelings about the stay and we will probably not come back.

But this trip, we not only stayed a few nights, but we had a birthday party for my husband‘s father who turned 95. We had 25 people for a Sunday brunch in a private room. Everything was set up and worked perfectly. We begin our planning with Ellinor who was a dream to work with. When we arrived we also met Mimi and both of them were amazing. Amanda served us the day of the brunch and she was wonderful. The chef (David) is quite the master chef and the food is amazing we would highly recommend that you go to this location for any event or just to stay a couple of nights. The staff is friendly professional and go above and beyond. And again the food is amazing.

Reviewed By rezens10Great little hotel at the golf course offering nicely designed modern and clean rooms at good rates. Breakfast was ample and including swedish delicacies. Staff is very friendly and attentive - as no taxi was available to take us to a wedding in tylosand, a staff member offered to drive us. Thanks a lot!
