Wonderful place to stay in a small paradise!
Reviewed By Mariana MThis homestay offers you a holistic experience. First, the staff is friendly and punctual. They help you and keep you informed about everything that happens in the area. By the way, Halong Bay is breathtaking! Plus, the place looks like a small paradise in the middle of an alive jungle! It is just wonderful! You can rent a bicycle and pedal away contemplating the beauty of the tiny little and precious village. Everyone is friendly around. You feel not merely safe, but integrated. Another thing to mention: the dinners at Lan Homestay are excellent with a variety of sea food. In our last night we tried the snake wine as well. I totally recommend it and would love to go back!

Chị chủ nhà rất thân thiện và hiếu khách, chị ấy chủ động cho chúng tôi mượn 1 chiếc xe máy để tiện đi lại, thêm vào đó là không từ chối bất kì sự yêu cầu của chúng tôi. Hơn nữa không gian sống tại Kiara's home cho chúng tôi cảm giác như đang ở chính nhà mình vậy, thực sự rất yên bình, ấm cúng và tiện lợi.

Bad experience
Reviewed By Nguyễn TReceptionist attitude is quite bad. We arrived at 5 pm and receptionist look tired and seemly not wellcome us. He saw me get out from car and have luggage but he went to the hotel but didn't open the door or helped me to bring luggage. In the next day, I went to restaurant and had breakfast. There was noone in restaurant only our family but we had to wait too long for our breakfast. I hope your hotel will improve your service and employees.

Clean, friendly and massive value for money
Reviewed By J9932LJstevencLook, you get what you pay for! I read a few other reviews on this hotel mentioning that there are not many restaurants nearby or that the rooms were dirty. Personally I didn't come here to have multiple choices of restaurant on the doorstep and I just can't see how anyone would be presented with a dirty room here. Maybe the cleaner was having an argument with the owner? Rate I paid was $30 a night. Maybe a post-COVID-19 special rate, yes, but the only other hotel that I have stayed in that was equally good value for money and as clean and friendly is the one I reviewed in Vung Tau previously. You could do a lot, lot worse. Great little hotel, with a great name to boot. Well done Punt Hotel!!!

Reviewed By BarryM845The room facilities are pretty basic. No safe or fridge in my room. Two windows facing a wall 30 cm away so no natural light. But the place is clean and in a good state of repair. Odd area, not many tourist. Hardly anyone speaks English

Good Location, friendly staff, good facilities
Reviewed By Tomoko sLocation is excellent for this hostel, between the speed boats pier to Cat Ba Island and a local market, totally worth to stop in Hai Phong to enjoy a smaller town life and some great food at local markets, staff is helpful and hostel it self is quite new and well organized, each bed has it own power outlet and its light, at night is quiet.

Reviewed By Thỏ Nmình đã đi rất nhiều khách sạn, nhưng chưa khách sạn nào lại đặc biệt như khách sạn này. Vì thế mình đã quay lại đến 4-5 lần, mỗi lần lại có một trải nghiệm khách biệt, vì mỗi phòng ở đây được thiết kế theo một phong cách hoàn toàn khác nhau và rất tập trung cho việc "yêu"!

Excellent accommodation on Cat Ba.
Reviewed By MaelFaialI Highly recommend Village Peace House on Cat Ba island. My girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights and we were very happy with our choice. The family is super nice and the food is excellent the pho was the best I’ve had and a huge pitcher of ginger tea is the same price as a cup of coffee. Everything you need is available and reasonably priced, food, water, coffee, beer... very nice mountain bikes are free to use and mopeds are available for rent. The owner has lived on Cat Ba his entire life so you can’t hope for a better host. To top it all off the view from all three rooms is gorgeous and with so few rooms you are likely to be sharing the space with the family and nobody else which we very much enjoyed. Peaceful and welcoming, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Cat Ba.
