We are very happy returning customers to Pineapple. It is set in stunningly beautiful gardens, with an excellent view over Entebbe with the lake in the distance. The rooms are bright, comfortable, well appointed with wonderfully thoughtful touches. The showers are HOT and POWERFUL. But the real winner here - what makes the place as special as it is - are the people who work there. Allen and Norah in particular provide such a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. At the same time, they offer space, privacy and the opportunity to feel really relaxed and really at home. They’re worth their weight in gold. Breakfast is excellent. Lunch and dinner are available if you order in advance and are really beautifully prepared. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Quiet oasis with lake view

Lovely place in a quiet part of Entebbe. Andrea and her team are super friendly and do everything to make guests feel welcome. Beds are comfy, with good bednets, and everything is very clean. The terrace and the pretty garden have a view of Lake Victoria in the distance. There are small perks such as free drinking water and a book sale/ exchange. Breakfast was delicious and there is also the of ordering dinner from an Indian restaurant in town. For a small extra charge you can access the communal areas and a shower and continue to get free drinking water and wifi on the day of departure - which is great if you're catching one of the late flights out of Entebbe.

Exactly what I expected

Spent one night here late November after a late flight into JRO. Owner was there to greet me and sold me a few beers. Perfect place to stay for a few nights. Although I only stayed one night, I wished I could have stayed longer. Clean room, clean grounds and nicely landscaped. Hot water shower and tv, although I didn't even turn it on. No regrets at all.

I recently spent a week at Hotel Kenrock. No complaints at all. The room was fine, the price was excellent (51,000/- per night), everything worked, everything was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. My laundry was cleaned properly and returned promptly. The hotel is close to the Kabalagala entertainment strip, and there are also a couple of restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant too, I ate there a couple of nights and can recommend it, especially their paneer curries; they also have a well-stocked beer fridge?. And even when I did have a small problem (plumbing in the bathroom) everything went well. The repair man arrived just a few minutes after I reported the problem; and as soon as he finished a cleaner appeared to clean up after him.

Alison & Dave's Guest House

We are a small family guest house offering clean comfortable accommodation; the rooms in the main house have en suite bathrooms. Our lovely little cottage has ensuite toilet & washbasin but external cold shower which is why it is cheaper. Our garden is peaceful and visited by over 100 species of birds some bird watching guests have counted over 100 during their stay with us!!. We have an upstairs terrace allowing you to sit with a cold drink, tea or coffee as you wish while watching the sunset over Lake Victoria and Western Uganda. Often our simple but filling breakfasts are sourced almost entirely from our garden, Papaya, Mangoes, Bananas, Cape Gooseberries, gorgeous avocado's to go with Passion fruits, toast, jam, fresh eggs done to your order, fresh Ugandan coffee (only bettered by Ethiopian) and tea in a pot with real Ugandan leaves and a strainer. Alison gets up early to cut all the fruit fresh and often guests remark that its the tastiest fruit they've ever had!!! Our three long term staff are an essential part of the business, Thomas a more than able cook if Alison is not around ably assisted by Emmanuel, they also ensure everything is maintained and working and everywhere clean and tidy. Geoffrey our 3rd member of staff is responsible for night duties and looking after our 2 lovely dogs one of which is a Siberian Husky. If guests fancy an evening or early morning walk then Geoffrey is only too willing to show them our lovely peaceful neighborhood. Please come and stay and enjoy the peaceful and beautiful gardens and of course sunsets

Worst pizza i have ever had (and i am not exaggerating)

Pizza with unpitted olives, in case you are not aware, places have been sued for customers chipping teeth on this, it is literally a hazard. The cheese ? and the flammekueche pizza was like three layers of onion, i'm sorry. Didn't help that the chef tried to argue that this is how its made until we pulled out pictures on google, bro ?Loved this place in the past with the burgers, but this pizza idea needs to be revisited.
