This hotel is the best. We stayed here for a week while hiking on the Moselstieg. The hotel has a great location close to the bridge. It is rather new and everything is extremely well maintained. Our room was really nice and cozy, and we loved the balcony facing the courtyard, where we could sit at night even when it rained. The shower was nice and spacious. Despite up to 40 degrees celcius the aircon still kept the room cooled. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was good. We felt welcome and relaxed here, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Bernkastel-Kues again.

Kleines Familienhotel im Herzen der Mittelmosel. Direkt am Moselradweg gelegen. Parkplätze und Garage für Zweiradfahrer direkt am Haus
An overnight stay on our way to the ferry in Rotterdam. We usually stay at the Moselblumchen but couldn't get a room. We will certainly use the Alt Cues in future. The room was clean, comfy bed, good shower, free parking and an excellent breakfast. The walk along the riverbank to and from the centre was another plus with the Egyptian geese and barges on the river.

Having hired a couple of bicycles for the day, we stopped off here for lunch. It was a Monday in the week following Easter week, and quite a lot of places were closed; fortunately for us Rosi closes on Tuesdays. They have a stand where you can lock up your bicycle along one side of the hotel, and we did take advantage of this. The general appearance of this establishment was that everything was very clean (including the bathrooms) and very well maintained. Note that the restaurant kitchen closes at 14:00. We arrived about 15 minutes before that, and I did ask if we were too late to order some food. The member of staff I spoke to assured me that we didn't need to worry about that. Once again in Germany, we found the food to be excellently presented and generous in quantity. One of us had the "Rosi" salad with ham and cheese and copious quantities of salad, and the other had marinated herring in cream sauce. The herring was pleasant but I did find it to be slightly over-salted. The salad however was really excellent. Everything was served quickly and efficiently. The prices we found to be very reasonable for the area, certainly more so than the centre of Bernkastel. They have a range of home-made desserts available incluiding Apfelstrudel, which I would definitely recommend. If we're in the area again, we would definitely stop here for lunch again.

Wonderful experience in Die Quelle. Beautiful location just outside the busy centrum with free parking in front. Comfy room with own bathroom, including towels and hair dryer. Very lovely owners that make a superb breakfast and are always up for a chat or some local information. Absolutely worth it!

The room was ok for a night (really small). Cold shower, light in bathroom did not work and the bed was really uncomfortable. We arrived on a Wednesday and the place was closed but we were given access at 6pm. We didn't find the service very friendly at all (save for the lady serving breakfast). However on the plus side it was clean and the breakfast was really good. The price however for one night for the room and service that we received was too much for what we received. Also paying for a parking place for the day when we only gained access at 6pm was a little annoying.

What a great find! We rented two rooms but we would have fit and been comfortable in one. There are stairs so be prepared for them but the steps are worth it. Quaint walk around the area. Restaurant right across the quite street. Very nice place!

One should begin with the positive...location. in the heart of the town. That's it. Nothing else positive. Rooms are very basic, shower is unprofessionally redone, breakfast is very basic, internet only works sometimes, in the night loud guests arrived, no accessable power plugs in room...i could go on. definitively stay clear of this hotel, don't let the name and location fool you, like it did us!

Standort am Ortsrand. Ortsmitte gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Zimmer total abgewohnt. Offensichtlich seit längerer Zeit keine Reinigung. Spinnweben in mehreren Ecken. Auf Vorderseite des Kleiderschrankes dicker Staubbelag. In Lampen waren die Glühbirnen z. t. defekt bzw. fehlten ganz.Im Bad keine Seife, kein Shampoo. Wlan-Empfang sehr eingeschränkt. Fazit: keine Empfehlung!
