Nice and cousy hotel
Reviewed By cristiancdiIt is a nice hotel, very close to the highway. It has a free parking lot . The rooms are ok they are clean . I have stayed just for ine night but i whould sure to book again when i am in DE. The hotel offer a very good breakfast !

Rooms were very big and comfortable, however we were woken up at 3 o'clock in the morning by guests in the reception area scaping their chairs on the solid floor we suggest the management get some felt bottoms fitted. The breakfast was good with plenty of coffee and the restaurant although had a limited menu everything we had was excellent. If it was not for the noise we would stay there again.

Peaceful over night stay
Reviewed By saintnick76We stayed for 1 night on the 1st stop for our German road trip and were not disappointed. Very polite and helpful staff who recommended an excellent local restaurant nearby. We stayed in the Blockhaus which we had to ourselves, the room was huge and very comfortable Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Overall a lovely quiet hotel not too far from Cologne

Pleasant hotel with good restaurant
Reviewed By Fred GSpacious rooms in two story building, unfortunately without elevator. Plenty of space in the car park. Restaurant offers good quality meals at reasonable price. The menu is more attractive than the more traditional "gut bürgerlich" restaurant. Nice wine from Saar region. Beautiful surroundings, good for walking.

The listed building was renovated and extended with a great deal of enthusiasm and attention to detail to its 5-star level. The historical background of the building as a former children's home led to the idea of remodelling the rooms in themed suites dedicated to six famous orphans. Currently an extension of hotel capacity in conjunction with a wellness tract is being planned. Our theme suites are dedicated to six celebrity orphans. The personalities of Norma Jeane Baker aka Marilyn Monroe, Margret Rutherford aka Miss Marple, Coco Chanel, Leo Tolstoy, Edgar Allan Poe and Johann Sebastian Bach, and the style of their eras flowed mainly into the design of the rooms, making them particularly an unusual and enchanting experience.

Reviewed By Frans VWe had a short stay in landhaus Spatzenhof which was really awesome. It is a perfect quit location, wonderfull terrace outside and a lovely kitchen which was close to Michelin star level. Also the personnel was very friendly led by the hotel manager which was always available and helpfull. Hence, a perfect stay!

Reviewed By bling5745Clean and spacious rooms. No coffee and tea facilities and no refrigerator in the room. Simpel breakfast and diner buffet. WIFI signal weak in rooms further from the reception area. Nice and excellent surroundings for hiking. Plenty of parking space.

Reviewed By peterKleenLarge room which would house at least another single bed and cot. It was very clean and spacious. Breakfast good with plenty to eat, as well as standard meats and cheese there was scrambled egg and bacon. Although the hotel did not provide evening meals there are 3 restaurants in the town including an Italian which also does takeaways.There is a pancake restaurant (savory and sweet) just on the outskirts of town next to an outdoor swimming pool about 1km away. The staff at the hotel all spoke English and were very helpful nothing too much trouble.
