Ripped off

Removed facilities , increased prices , cubicle showers out of order for months meaning having to shower daughter with men as no family changing rooms. Explained my views on this , and was told they would not be reinstating advertised facilities (outdoor hot tub) and they were waiting for parts for shower (6 months) . When asked for refund as terms of use had changed was told no. Won't be returning once time runs out.

We visited on Sunday 5th for an evening meal There was three of us Two had fish and chips and one had beef burger The fish and chips was probably the worst we ever ate The fish was extremely greasy and was not eaten fully The mushy peas were cold and inedible The tartare sauce was actually a bowl of mayonnaise and not tartare sauce The burger was pressed meat and not very nice When I had paid I was asked was everything ok to which I replied it was just about the worst meal we ever had. I was told I was the second person that day that complained about the fish Overall a really bad meal

Excellent Venue

Reviewed By Thefogisback

Had a family 90th Birthday party here recently . It was the most wonderful venue you could find for such an occasion. We were a party of 25 with the room exclusively ours. Arranging the day with Trish and Niamh was without any issues. The staff on the day were brilliant. The menu was very inclusive and catered for all tastes. With such peaceful and beautiful surroundings, we would highly recommend Raheen House for such an occasion and similar.

Great Pub and Lodging in a vibrant small town

Reviewed By TurkeyOak

I was going to be staying at a modern hotel in a city for 2 weeks so I wanted to start my trip from America in a small town hotel with a nice pub. Mulcahy's in Clonmel fit the bill wonderfully. I don't know how old the hotel or its neighbors are, but they were build in the past when architecture was more interesting. The entire neighborhood of stores and shops are updated and modernized, while keeping the charm from the past. The street that Mulcahy's is on is bustling with life and vigor. It was refreshing to see an active small town shopping district. The check in was friendly and easy. They took my bags up while I moved my car to the back lot. The room was comfortable and roomy. The star of Mulcahy's, and the reason that I picked it, is the pub. It is a beautiful, classic pub, run by friendly people. I spent most of my time here getting adjusted from the jet lag. They have a restaurant on the other side of the lobby but I ate my meals at the bar. It is too good to leave. I had aq nice burger for my first meal, and really nice fish and chips every other meal. Like all great Irish pubs, it is a neighborhood gathering place, families eating, friends drinking and laughing, and sports on a few TVs. It was the perfect place for me to start this Irish trip. Bulmer's cider is made in the town so I recommend enjoying it.

Wonderful Hospitality in July 2021

Reviewed By greenie75

We stayed here two nights in July 2021. We had stayed in 2019 and were delighted to receive the same welcome & hospitality, the wonderful breakfast , even though all Covid regulations for hospitality were in place and being followed. This beautifully comfortable guest house is situated right in the centre of the town and has parking. It is convenient to everything, restaurants and shops. But what make it an outstanding place to stay in is the superb, thoughtful hosts. We thank them and wish them well.

Horrendous

Where to start.... The smell, oh my lord what a stale, musty, odour throughout. The bed.. An attempt at cleaning was prehaps made a few months ago. The room... The smell again!! The bathroom.. Sweet Lord, filthy isn't even an accurate enough description. Mould, broken window clasps, doors didn't close properly and the carpets definitely had their own eco-system in them. The staff were really nice though I felt bad for them.
