Alighted from the Trans-Siberian at Kungur to see the Ice Caves - Hotel was a bonus
Reviewed By WW_Traveller023'Kungur' is not a usual stop for people on the Trans-Siberian, it was only opened recently for English speaking tourists, so I expected the stay here to be a bit 'rustic', but very interesting. We only had 3 minutes to de-train so we all had to be ready to leap off the train when it stopped, lined up in the corridor we were poised, the train stopped, the attendant lowered the stairs and we were off at a quick shuffle, off in record time, the attendant used her red flag to ensure the train didn't depart with any of us on board. Travelling to the hotel showed us an interesting little town with old soviet style housing badly in need of upkeep, the brick buildings look sad and neglected and the lovely wooden ones more so. There is a new looking church in brick, but behind it was a much grander Cathedral like building that has big holes in the domed roof and it has been cordoned off as it looks like it may fall down, a shame. (We found out that this is a Monastery and until recently it was used as a gaol, and it has now some private funding, and should be restored within a few years, which was great news). The hotel is a surprise, the Hotel Iren, it looks brand new, like we are the first to stay there, nice single beds and a large bathroom with separate round corner shower, clean toilet with paper and lots of hot water (apparently we must have hogged the hot water as most of the others reported having cold showers, lucky us). Meals were served in a large ornate room by flash waiters, the food looked fantastic, works of art really. Breakfast was included - a omelette/soufflé served in a lovely offset bowl, then rice pudding with a pear/Kiwi Fruit jam and a bread roll and butter with 3 different small wedges of cheese and a cup of Liptons to finish. Lunch was 250 Roubles pp. Borscht first and then a beautifully presented ragout of vegetables and beef, followed by a cup of Liptons. A really nice hotel

Nice, clean and quiet
Reviewed By marina4musketeersVery decent place for staying couple of days in Perm. Not far away from Perm railway station. Hostel was very cean and quiet, staff is very nice. They allowed us to leave our bags until late in the evening on check out day, which was very useful to us.

Reviewed By Lieselot VWhen we arrived in Perm we were looking for a place to sleep by asking people in the street and so we ended up in a cosy hostel near the banks of the river Lena. Our welcome was warm and the people there were interested and helpful! It was kind of a relief for us after our 3 week traveling through Russia to enter such friendly an atmosphere. The hostel was clean, comfy with paintings and graffiti we very much enjoyed. Belgium says whenever you visit Perm, your visit will not be complete without 'calming inn' here.

Reviewed By LeniafffkaОтличный хостел, внутри чисто, опрятно, постельное белье свежее, не застиранное. Порадовало, что на верхних койках также были шторки. У каждой кровати и снизу и сверху розетки. Есть полочка для телефона. На кухне чисто, светло, уютно. Расположение хостела хорошее. Администратор вежливый.

Сначала выбрали другой, но потом случайно увидели, что осталась комнатка в ПуФффе, не долго думая, сняли бронь с другого и ни капли об этом не пожалели! Приехали в 11 утра, оставили вещи у администратора Ларисы, очень доброжелательной, тактичной и приятной девушки, и пошли гулять до ночи. Вещи нас уже ждали в номере. Плюсов очень много: близко к центру города, wi-fi, чистые опрятные комнаты, душ общий(их несколько), но ни разу в очереди не стояли, кухня(плита, микроволновка, большой чайник, холодильник, много посуды!!), стиралка, утюг, фен. В общем все, что вам необходимо, все это есть! Утром просыпались рано, несмотря на то, что хостел был полон, не было ощущения, что здесь живет еще кто-то кроме тебя. Нет комендантского часа! Когда хочешь уходи, когда хочешь приходи!) Провожала нас Анастасия, очень приятная и заботливая!!! Но есть маленькие минусики: слышимость(это проблема всех хостелов), но! нам это совсем не мешало и никто нас не тревожил. Спасибо большое за отдых! Однозначно сюда мы еще вернемся и будем рекомендовать вас друзьям!!!

Всегда чисто, уютно, персонал всегда позаботиться, и предупредят что ожидается похолодание, у них на этот случай в каждом номере есть доп одеяло. Предложат тапочки, фен и тд. В любое обговорённое время встретят, всегда позитивные и сервисные. Буду продолжать у вас останавливаться, вы со многими звездными гостиницами посоревнуетесь! Европейское качество и подход.
