At Hostel Solviken our aim is for you to always feel really welcome when you come to visit us. We have a facility that is beautifully located on a peninsula on the Lake Sommen. Our hostel standard is simple but pleasant and affordable. The first thing that strikes you is the proximity to the water on all sides of the hostel. If you lift your gaze across the bay you will see Torpön with mountains and forests and when you look west you will see Torpa Church on the other side of the brook Linna.

The manor house is romantic
Reviewed By Hampm57The hostel is off center and readilyaccessible. Between the hostel and manor lies a kindergarten and nursinghome. The small manor is wooden, creaking floorboards and a bit underinsulated. Also, charming with a romantic feel in decor. Comfortable beds, OK plumbing and breakfast served in the hostel is alright

Old but gold
Reviewed By Tom DThis hostel is situated in a 300 year old building but you'll want for nothing. The owner (Erica) was very friendly and welcoming. Tranas itself is not really worthwhile but the hostell is situated near a nature preserve which is always a plus. Since I'm allergic to dust an old building is usually bad for me but I didn't have any trouble so it's clean.

Familyfriendly, nice hostel with personal service and wonderful location in Granna Harbour. Close to the beach, Visingso traffic and the Centre. There are 52 beds in 18 two-bed rooms and 4 four-bed room. Newly renovated bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Buffet breakfast is served daily between 8-10 May-August. Restaurant & Cafe with food, wine, coffee, sandwiches, waffles and much more!
Strandterassen ligger vackert nära hamnen och med utsikt över Visingsö.
Reviewed By 897bokEnkel och funktionell vandrarhemsstandard med våningssäng, två fåtöljer, skrivbord, garderob och delad toalett och dusch. Det var kallt i rummet, men Lina från Strandterassen fixade till elementet och sen blev det varmt och gott. Jag gillar den här typen av slitna, men välskötta vandrarhem med bedagad charm.

Expensive. Badly equipped.
Reviewed By Martin WLived there for about a week, the rooms was about as big as a walk in closet. The air quality in the rooms was terrible, hot and I got constant headache due to the bad air circulation. The staff was unpleasant and "cocky". No kitchen, no windows in the rooms. It was dirty and the smell was terrible. The pictures on their website looks nice, but don't believe that. The Wi-Fi is bad, reallyI really bad. I couldn't even access my email sometimes.It's a really bad hostel, and expensive. I moved to a hotel and I pay less here and have breakfast included. So, overpriced, nasty staff, badly cleaned, smells bad, crazy hot and small room, no cooking options (you can eat for about 100 SEK, not worth it). Don't live here. Spend some extra bucks on a place with decent service and staff. Have fun.

Reviewed By carina488Fantastiskt fin plats i småländsk skog gårdar från 1800 talet mycket sevärt djur finns att beskåda där också café butik promenad stigar grönsaks odling vackra gärdsgårdar runt om perfekt för barnfamiljer
