January 25, 2022 Jasper Kershner

Montreal, c’est si bon! This French-speaking city is considered the cultural capital of Canada, and is a cosmopolitan celebration of Québécois style. A horse-drawn carriage ride around the cobblestone streets and grand buildings of Vieux-Montréal will give you a taste of European flavor. The Basilique Notre-Dame is a confection of stained glass, and the Plateau Mont-Royal district will delight you with its quaint boutiques and cafés. Dig in to a massive plate of poutine to fuel up for a tour of the epic Olympic Park.

Used to hang around this live Quebec music bar in Old Montreal in the early 80s. Went back for a nostalgic visit to this bar of my youth and not much has changed. We still drink beer and sing & dance along with the bands ! The crowd is just as enthusiastic as it was 40 years ago even though I have lost a step or two. Vive le Quebec ! La joie de vivre existe encore dans ce bar classic du Vieux Montréal. Salut !

Terrasse sur l'Auberge

Panoramic views of the Old Port and St. Lawrence River on one side, amazing scenery from St. Paul Street on the other. The rooftop views from Terrasse sur l'Auberge paint a beautiful portrait of Montreal's historic district. From June 30 to August 3, the skyline ignites with an array of colour during the International Fireworks Competition. There's no better place to enjoy a prime view of these award-winning pyrotechnics. Perfect for groups, the large terrace accommodates up to 100. Please note that while Terrasse sur l'Auberge does not offer full meal service, it does invite you to order from a menu of delicious small bites.
