A wonderful museum to visit that is located in the center of Rodez. Lots of great artifacts mostly from the Gauls that you won't find anywhere else; many specific to the Rodez area. Several floors to visit in total. Beautiful architecture. Be sure to get the discount for seeing this and the other museums of Rodez together.

We waited ages to pay for a ticket and when we finally gained access to the building our disappointment knew no bounds. The exhibits all seemed to be similar daubs with a black brush. I wish I had researched Soulages before our visit, because we found no merit whatsoever in his work.

Sculpture Denys Puech is a native of a nearby small town. The ground floor sites a small collection of his works in plaster and bronze placed so you can get really close up. The upstairs and basement of this light airy building houses temporary Exhibitions - on our visit it was abstract metal sculptures. Delightful view of green countryside from the staircase.
Worth a visit if in Rodez but note it only open on afternoons and not every day.

If I hadn't just visited the Cathedral I would probably have rated this higher. It's a good, quite large Church, my thoughts were that the exterior was more imposing than the interior.

Speedos and swim goggles are part of my luggage. It was a highlight to discover this world class swim and Aqua fitness centre. Three pools, 25 m lap pool, Aqua fitness in 20 m seperate pool and therapy pool, all indoors, all heated. Pools are fully tiled and the centre is world class. Annabel on reception was so helpful. If you are in this location, for E5 you can have a swim work out and then relax in warm spa and therapy pool. I spent over two hours, interesting modern communal change rooms, different to Australia.
