Neuruppin (German pronunciation: [nɔʏʁʊˈpiːn]) is a town in Brandenburg, Germany, the administrative seat of Ostprignitz-Ruppin district. It is the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Fontane (1819–1898) and therefore also referred to as Fontanestadt. A garrison town since 1688 and largely rebuilt in a Neoclassical style after a devastating fire in 1787, Neuruppin has the reputation of being "the most Prussian of all Prussian towns".

We spent a couple of days here following a sightseeing trip to Berlin and enjoyed the clean facilities which were pleasantly quiet during Tuesday and Wednesday.
We particularly enjoyed the Seesauna with it's wooden swings and the beautiful lakeview Panorama windows.
Also enjoyed an early morning swim in the saltwater outdoor pool.
Only gripe: the saltwater floating pool upstairs was a tick too cool for us.

This place offers more than your typical provincial museum. For starters, it is housed inside a beautifully restored classicist building which offers a pleasant enough visit. The main part of the museum -- in addition to a nice but small collection of archaeological artefacts -- uses Theodor Fontane's writings (him being born in Neuruppin) to reflect on the town, its inhabitants and other famous people like Karl Friedrich Schinkel (the early 19th century architect) and Karl Wilhelm Gentz (the 19th century Orientalist painter). Visitors are invited to listen to Fontane's writings and reflect upon the artefacts; rather obviously, getting anything from the experience requires a solid enough command of German.

Friends in the area brought us to this out of the way museum. While you can understand quite a lot just from the display and a few words of German, our friends did much translating. 3 D displays were well done, although the playmobile figure in one castle was a bit out of place. Portraits of the royal family looked like paintings, and the displays on WWI were well done. In German and Polish. The town has many other structures as well. Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic place to see wildlife, so close and even to touch. If you are in this area and you have small one with you this is a must. Not only are all animals, birds and reptiles visible in their enclosure, some can also be fed by hand! Great value for money!

Wir waren zum Konzert von Paul Carrack in der Kulturkirche. Abgesehen davon ,dass dies durch den Künstler und seine Band ein unvergessliches Erlebnis war, trug die stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre der Kirche, die ausgezeichnete Akustik und die anheimelnde Beleuchtung zum vollen Erfolg nicht unmaßgeblich bei. Einlass, Garderoben und Toiletten gaben ebenfalls zu keiner Beanstandung Anlass. Obwohl wir knappe 80 km von Berlin aus anreisen mussten, werden wir hier bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal eine Kulturveranstaltung besucht haben.

Es lohnt sich folgendes anzusehen: "1883 wird die Chornische und die Vorhalle an die Nordseite errichtet. Das Schiff, an dem mittelalterliche Formen nicht mehr erkennbar sind, hat an jeder Seite drei große Stichbogenfenster. Das Innere der Kirche hat eine gerade Decke, die mit Feldereinteilungen versehen und bemalt wurde. Die Emporen, auf toskanischen Holzsäulen stehend, tragen die Orgel und die Zietenloge. An der Nordseite der Kirche befindet sich das Grab des Husarengenerals Hans-Joachim von Zieten."

Нам очень понравилось обслуживание и кухня. Вся еда свежая, порции большие, поэтому смело можно брать одно блюдо на двоих. Меню довольно разнообразное. Отличное место! Нам повезло с погодой, но уверена, что там в любое время хорошо благодаря гостепреимным хозяевам и сотрудникам.

Die Luna Lounge ist eine Cocktailbar im Zentrum von Neuruppin. Etwas unscheinbar und nur ein kleines Schild weist auf die gemütliche Kellerbar hin. Das Ambiente kann mit dem Berliner Cocktailbars mithalten. Loungige Beleuchtung. Gemütliche Sofasitzecken. Plätze an der Bar. Loungemusik. Die Bedienung ist prompt und freundlich. Das Beste allerdings ist die wirklich extrem gute Qualität der Cocktails und das enorme breite Angebot an verschiedenen alkoholischenund nicht-alkoholischen Cocktails (siehe Internetseite). Kleinere Snacks wie z.B. Nachos, Oliven usw. können günstig dazu geordert werden. Jeden Tag ist Happy Hour für eine jeweils andere Gruppe von Cocktails. Details siehe Webseite.

Wir waren wirklich sehr positiv überrascht eine Cocktailbar wie die Luna Lounge in Neuruppin vorzufinden, die locker mit guten Berliner Cocktailars mithalten kann bei super Preisleistungsverhältnis.
