As a family of three (one 5 year old) we had a fantastic day! We booked the wee rider attachment for one of the bikes which was extremely useful! We did the full lap (17 miles) and had a few stop offs along the way! There are portaloos along the route which were all very clean and well maintained! We loved the church at Normanton. The beach and also the kids play area at Sykes lane was a great find! There is one area of the track which has some kind of grey shale which was a bit tricky with the little one on the back but we powered on through! If you would like an easier route stick to the family trail (8 miles) Whitwell to Normanton and back or vice versus The staff at the hire centre were all very helpful and it felt very covid safe! We would highly recommend it

Bugtopia The Zoo

Reviewed By 145betht - Tadcaster, United Kingdom

I visited Bugtopia today with my brother and partner. We were slightly apprehensive beforehand about being a group of adults in case it was geared towards little kids but we needn't have worried! We received a lovely welcome and enjoyed a packed schedule of feeding times and interactive experiences which were led by a really knowledgeable member of staff. We saw a lot of animals that we hadn't seen before despite being keen zoogoer's (particular favourite was the armadillo!). In response to some of the reviews that state that they only took 10/15 mins to walk round - as with eveything, the experience is what you make of it. We easily spent 2 hours here and thought it was excellent value for money. We look forward to returning again to experience some of the feeding times that we missed today. Thanks!
