Haus Berger is a hotel and restaurant with a familiar atmosphere in the countryside. The comfortable rooms are equipped with WiFi, TV, Shower/Bathroom, hair dryer and flat iron. For comfortable hours you will find a lounge with TV and DVD-Player as well as a wellness area with sauna, infrared-cabin and waterbeds. Dogs and other pets are welcome. You will find parking lots nearby and if you should travel by bike, we have a special room to keep bikes dry and safe. In our restaurant you will find a high-level regional and seasonal menu. The restaurant opening hours are from Monday to Saturday from 5:30-10:00pm (restaurant closed on Sundays & bank holidays). In summer you might enjoy our typical German beer garden and in winter you might sit at the warm fireplace.

Reviewed By admonfrNeeding to spend one night in Viersen we used Trip Advisor and identified Haus Berger as matching our requirements for a one night stop. How wrong we were! Whem we arrived we were met by a smiling Herr Berger in his agricultural guise, telling us he was going on his tractor and back in 10 minutes. He showed us to our room telling us he would be back. What a lovely room, simple but elegant, superbly comfortable and immaculately clean. Our stay was for one night only but it would have been no hardship to extend it. The hotel has been converted out of Herr Berger's family farmhouse whichnhas been in the family for five generations. The coversion has been beautifully executed. The rustic atmosphere is beautifully retained with all the comfort one could wish for and many additional items and facillities are included and available. Anyone looking for an honest, heartwarming place to stay should not possibly go wrong here. I also recommend checking out the restaurant.

Better than expected
Reviewed By bobbrown900Just a one night stay on our way home from Hannover, we arrived early evening and the 'check in' seemed very abrupt, we were even told what time we should go for dinner! The rooms were adequate which is what should be expected at hotels in this category, but fitted our needs. Once downstairs things became clearer, the hotel was busy with a (large) pre-booked party. The girls who were waiting tables were very pleasant, explaining the situation. Dinner was absolutely excellent and I must give a big shout out to Aysu who was such a joy and extremely pleasant while serving and indulging us in conversation. Breakfast was extensive and delicious, very well laid out in these Covid times to give maximum space. We pick this place 'from the hat' but would be happy to use it again.

Reviewed By Sharron GHave stayed here 3 times over the past several years. Very friendly staff, nice rooms (quite large) and a terrific breakfast. Super easy to get to, and although it is on a main road, exceptionally quiet. Parking is free, as is the wifi.

Comfortable stay
Reviewed By 343malcolmpSpent comfortable stay in a rather quaint 18th century hotel which was evidenced by the rather steep stairs up to the first floor, which may present a problem to some. Would definitely stay there again if ever in the vicinity again, and were fully rested and sated by the ample and wholesome breakfast for the onward journey.

Schlechte Betten, einfache Einrichtung
Reviewed By sheinssZur Not kann man hier übernachten. Die Betten sind sehr unbequem, das Badezimmer einfach eingerichtet. Komfort kann man hier nicht erwarten. Der Inhaber ist freundlich und bedient einen Fahrdienst für seine Gäste. Der Übernachtungspreis mit 89€ war definitiv zu hoch.
