I arrived at the main building to check in and stepped back to another time - beautiful antique furnishings in a gorgeous and well maintained building - peaceful, warm and inviting. The check in desk has a comfortable seating area and stone fireplace adjoining the well laid out dining room and patio. I had personalized customer service and the rooms are super clean with everything you need; comfy beds, shower, wifi etc. - all in a peaceful setting overlooking the lake. I never felt rushed and every question was answered with grace and care. What more could one want? My stay was simply too short, I will recommend and return. PS: Be sure to leave time to sit by the lake with a glass of wine before dinner and arrive hungry. Delicious food for both dinner and breakfast, featuring many local treats!!!

Cabanon is a very nice place to stopover and no doubt, for those with more time, has a lot to offer. There is an excellent pizza place in town...

Lady at check in was very gruff and not friendly at all. We figured it was because we cannot speak french. Spend a little more and get a nice place.

Quiet, clean and friendly
Reviewed By angelikat983We had a 2 night stay. Owners were very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and quiet. Very close walk to the water with beautiful walking/cycling trails. Large veranda at the front of the hotel with comfortable chairs. Wonderful experience, will definitely return.

Welcome to my charming and warm B&B.3 nice rooms and 2 warm suites are waiting for you with a private bathroom, fridge, tv, wi-fi, hair dryer, microwave with view on the lake and private entrance.My homemade breakfast it's made with my heart and my hand healthy, diet and to please you in my dining room where every body can share and enjoy a family atmosphere. Reviewed By SueandLen2013We have stayed here twice this month en route to and from Halifax and Montreal. The B and B is charming and full of character and, like the owner Pauline, very welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and hot water ample. The breakfasts are delicious, substantial, and beautifully presented. Pauline is a kind and generous host. On our second visit we had car trouble and she picked us up from where we were stuck and brought us to the gîte. In the morning she assisted us in resolving the problem. Service above and beyond the call of duty! We'll certainly stay here again!

A get-away to see the Fall Colors
Reviewed By nanook9It was a dream come true....France and Etienne, the owners, were as nice as could be, we felt as if we were the only ones staying there, they were that personable ! The room was excellent, overlooking the lake. The food,( Etienne is the chef ), was absolutely delicious.......we ate there for every meal. It was world class cooking ......We did see the Fall Colors, we drove through the National Park nearby, heard all about Grey Owl, whose stomping ground it was. Went to a beautiful Cheese shop and bought the delicious "Grey Owl Cheese " had a wonderful time....

Reviewed By Guy RWe stayed one night. The place is super clean. The staff is very friendly. Close to restaurant and gas station. The room is not very big but big enough to be comfortable. I recommend this motel has we had a good night there.

Reviewed By Leslie CHad no reservations on drive from Ontario to ns- we were ready to stop and noticed that hotels in edmunston were ridiculously expensive. Weird little cabin, not enough sheets for pull out, wifi didnt work, ant problem on floor. Screen in door not even attached properly. Not overly clean, but I've seen worse. Marcel seemed nice enough. I feel like their motel business is catering to us desperate highway travelers. I cant imagine planning ahead to go here.
