Good Price, Interesting Set-Up

As other reviews describe the hotel is next to a bar/restaurant where the staff seem to cover both. It wouldn't make sense to have a 24/7 reception there as there are only a handful of rooms but is a bit strange when you turn up and here is no-one around, same with checking out. The rooms are very nice and have a really retro feel to them. Should think they are pretty cosy in the winter. The only thing I would watch out for is the price of meals that they add on (without telling you the cost). It is a very nice restaurant but the standard breakfast fee is 12.5 Euros, quite steep considering the cost of the rooms but I assume this is how they make their money.

Landgoed Hotel & Restaurant Carelshaven

Site does not reflect reality!

Reviewed By Marjo D

Next to a bussy road... This is not shown on their site. So we felt disappointed. Our room overlooked the bussy road. Luckely Corona curfew stopped main trafic from 21:00 onwards. Our beds and pillows were hard, so sleeping was difficult. The room was hot and the temprature very difficult to regulate = eather on or off. The food and the breakfast is good and staff is very nice.

Besides the amenities, as stated in the title, the food is great and breakfast was just great. Rooms are comfortable as was the bed. Bathroom was also as it should be. One point on the down side was the fireworks that woke us late in the evening. After that it was not easy to fall asleep again. But we recommend tihs hotel and will sure stay again when in the area.

We stayed here for one night during our roadtrip. The most friendly staff, delicious dinner and also a charger for the Tesla car. The room was spacious and newly renovated, aswell as the bathroom. Tea and Coffee available at the room. We had a very good night's sleep, and finished off our stay with a breakfast that had pretty much everything we wished for. And everything to a very reasonable price. Thank you Wapen van Delden for this stay :)

Old hotel, okay rooms, small bathroom

Reviewed By rgsbouma

During a business trip, I decided to stay at Hotel Restaurant Sevenster in Delden because it was rather close to where I had to be. The rooms are small and old. The TV set is tiny, the channel layout is a mess and you can hardly find the channel you want. The beds are reasonably comfortable but low, older people will have a problem to rise from the bed. Only one person at a time can anted the bathroom and the toilet and the sink are to close to each other. This hotel is okay for a short stay and if yo are traveling alone and is in need for renovation to get updated for the future.

Location is Outstanding!

Researching and Booking When we were planning our river cruise, we added a couple of days following disembarking in Amsterdam to visit our Dutch friends in Goor, Netherlands. An internet search didn't turn up any accommodations actually in Goor, although there were some in surrounding towns. Properties in Markelo, Diepenheim, etc. were pretty much "out in the country", but we were looking for something within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Delden, about a 12 minute drive from Goor, looked promising. We settled on the den Soeten Inval B&B, and made reservations for their one remaining available room for the dates we needed. We quickly received a reservation confirmation and a "welcome" message from B&B host, Peter, with a puzzling (to us!) question: did we want single, or double, "bedclothes"? Not knowing what "bedclothes" were, we hazarded a guess that they are what we call "duvets", and responded accordingly. The Room When we arrived at the B&B after our river cruise, Peter greeted us, and asked if we would like to take a different room from what we had reserved. Instead of the room at the front of the property, facing the street, he offered us a larger room at the back, facing the garden. We chose the latter, and were happy that we did. The ground floor room at the back garden proved to be large, well furnished, and quiet. It proved conducive to a very good night's sleep. The Breakfast In the morning, we walked into the garden, and entered the next door, which led to the breakfast room. A wide variety of food was laid out, with the typical Dutch breakfast of breads, butter, cheese, and sliced meats clearly on display. Of course, other breakfast favourites were there, too - orange juice, jams, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, etc. Peter immediately offered us fresh coffee, which proved the perfect wake-up breakfast drink. He then asked if we would like some scrambled eggs, which we took him up on. At the next morning's breakfast, co-host Marcel was there, and after we had started with our morning coffee, he surprised us with "Wentelteefjes"; to us, it looked like French toast, and indeed, that's what they were - a Dutch take on our familiar French toast. Marcel accompanied these with their homemade blueberry jam, and the combination was delicious. The Location We had chosen Delden and this B&B so that we would be close to amenities, and we were very happy with this location. For dinner, we went to Restaurant Sevenster, and it was just steps away - 50 meters. The following morning, we found we were in easy walking distance to bakeries, supermarkets, bank machines, and stores. We had a nice light lunch (we didn't want a big lunch) at Dimitri's, on Langestraat. It was a newly-renovated place operated single-handedly by a Greek fellow. The food was very good - we recommend it! The Checkout A word of advice - this B&B does not take credit cards, just cash. Conclusion Highly recommended!

Unrealiable. A very not pleasant experience

Reviewed By RobertoMpel

We booked two one-person rooms 3 months in advance, which were confirmed. When we arrived it turned out that the place had made a mistake by booking a two person room in stead of 2 one person rooms. We decided to go hiking anyway and travel home afterwards (a multiple hours trip). Upon return of our hiking trip, de Zwaan offered us a bed in a conference room. This bed turned out to a very uncomfortable stretcher and there was no way to make it dark in the room while they told us that black blinds were available. Moreover, the two person room was actually a one person room, so the mistake story was a lie as well. In reality we have been thrown out in favor of people who booked two nights. I will never go back to this place. But the hiking area however is gorgeous, so find another establishment.
