Reviewed By eduxmorenoMagical place with great service, excellent amenities and friendly people. The rooms are amazing with fire pits inside and warm beds. The food is typical and with very good portions. If you want to get out of the same, definitely this is the place!!

Nice rooms, but no heater, no fridge, and terrible restaurant

However, several hydro-electric damns were built with Chinese money and workers recently, which may explain the strange decor in Tulcan. No fridge or minibar in the room, and choices are very limited downstairs (no Coke or Pepsi light). Worse though, is there is no heater in the room. It is currently 47 deg outside as I write this, and the room is COLD. Could not sleep well last night, and I could never get warm.

Reviewed By carlossolis92No estaba planeado quedarnos en Tulcán pero encontramos este hotel y nos fue bien. Ubicado en el centro, la habitación limpia, quizás hace falta un poco de mejor atención, los muchachos del hotel parados en la puerta, ni un intento de ayudar a bajar las maletas del carro. En el restaurante sirven platos con buena cantidad por precios económicos.

Good hostel
Reviewed By 600cl_mentcI spent one night in this hostel before passing the border. The hostel is about 20 minutes walking from the bus terminal The bedroom is nice, the breakfast standard. The only problem I had was I did not have hot water in the shower.

Bertha y su familia se encargaron de hacernos una noche especial, sus habitaciones cómodas y nos solventaron con mucha amabilidad posada para moto tambien, a pesar de que en El Angel, la vida corre tranquila. Tuve una taza de té, un pan amasado de maíz y una agradable conversación con ella y los amigos que llegamos. Desayuno super completo y delicioso café casi al pie de la plaza de este poblado amable y pujante. Si volvería: mi respuesta es SI!

Facilities could be better
Reviewed By Robert937More a basic hotel than a hostel. I stayed in a spacious single room. WiFi worked well Also in the room on the third floor. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Filtered water in the lobby. Very friendly staff who also helped out with information on Tulcan. There was an episode without water in the bathroom (late evening). I had a cold shower in the morning, as I did not manage the shower with electric device. The location is not central.

Cuidado te roban
Reviewed By 630carorMe hospede el 29 de Febrero en el hotel lastimosamente porque era de madrugada porque estaba de viaje, el hotel es un antiguo y básico, el día de salida pague con mi tarjeta. Cuando me llego el estado de cuenta pude verificar que si me cobraron el doble, llame al dueño y si muy amable no se preocupe yo le ayudo días después ya no me contestaba el teléfono entonces me contesta el otro dueño que si que no se preocupes usted está hablando con la persona indicada y hasta ahora no tengo respuesta 15 días después no le han devuelto mi dinero... que la contadora no puede ir no puede ver los pagos, algo tan simple como un estado de cuenta. Tengan cuidado con este tipo de personas que no son honestos y sobre todo con un hotel que les roba cobrándoles el doble y además no entregan factura.
