April 21, 2022 Leida Jutras

The Northern Territory (abbreviated as NT) is a federal Australian territory in the central and central northern regions of Australia. It shares borders with Western Australia to the west (129th meridian east), South Australia to the south (26th parallel south), and Queensland to the east (138th meridian east). To the north, the territory is bordered by the Timor Sea, the Arafura Sea and the Gulf of Carpentaria. Despite its large area—over 1,349,129 square kilometres (520,902 sq mi), making it the third largest Australian federal division—it is sparsely populated. The Northern Territory's population of 244,000 (2016) makes it the least populous of Australia's eight major states and territories, having fewer than half as many people as Tasmania.

When it comes to Territory vibes, positive spirit and excellent beer I can’t think of a better place to spend my time. Friendly local humans with a genuine passion for brewing. It’s so much of what we love about Darwin in one place. If you haven’t popped into One Mile before you haven’t really been to Darwin.

Stone House Wine Bar & Kitchen

We are a proud local wine bar and kitchen located in the middle of Darwin town, housed in a heritage listed stone shop house dating from the 1880’s. Our tastes in wine are as varied as they are many, and we travel widely to source inspired drops. Come in and join us for drinks and snacks, prop yourself at the bar, or discover our growing wine garden out the back.

A great find in Darwin. Beautiful setting in an old stone building (it used to be an opium den) and a pretty back garden. Excellent selection of wines and beers, with knowledgeable friendly staff who are happy to give tastings and chat about the wine. Great bar snacks as well - two types of anchovies!
