It was a great experience in Tehri Lake area - though we could not explore all types of water sports due to kids accompanying us, yet, for a quick adventure freaks, this would be a great detour from the city area and indulge in water sports. Jet Ski, Scooter, Speed Boats and Motor Boats are there for reasonable prices.

Surkhanda devi temple is situated on a hill top in between Dhanaulti and Kanatal in uttarkhand. Those who are traveling from dehradun-mussorie -kanatal-chamba route surkhanda devi temple is 6.5 kms from Dhanaulti and if rishikesh-chamba-dhanaulti-mussorie route is opted, then it is about 22 kms from chamba and 9.6 kms from kanatal . This hill top temple is one among 52 sakthi peethas in India . A slow trek of 1 hr 30 minutes( 1.5 kms uphill approximately) is required from the bottom of hill point ( kaddu khal tehri) . Few steps and concrete roads with many hairpin bends leads you to the temple. There are many small shops in between offering refreshments. Our visit was during end of December and the climate was pleasant with Sunshine and temperature in the range of 15-16 deg during afternoon .For those who cannot walk till the top ,horses are available for transportation. Once you are at the hill top the 360 deg view of Mountains and snow covered shivalik ranges of Himalayas is breath taking .It will take approximately 30 minutes to return to the base from the temple . Half day tour can be planned for this pilgrimage cum tourist spot .

This temple is located in Devprayag in Tehri Garhwal district. This temple is dedicated to God Vishnu. It is on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams. In this temple Vishnu is worshipped as Raghunathji and his consort Lakshmi as Sita. Raghunathji is believed to have performed penance at this place to relieve himself off the curse committed by killing Ravana. The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi takes place in Devprayag and the unified stream is known as Ganga. We can see distinctly the rivers Alakananda and Bhagirathi and the Sangamam. Near to the sangamam, we can also worship Lord Rama's original feet.
In this complex of Raghunathji temple, we can also have a dharshan of Lord Narasimha and Matha Annapoorna. Though we have to walk across the bridge and to climb around 108 steps to reach this Raghunathji temple, it is a must to visit this Great Temple.

Surkanda Devi temple is situated near Dhanaulti at an altitude of about 2700m and has a steep trek of 2.5kms from Kaddukhal, the place where vehicles are parked. It is surrounded by dense Forests and affords a scenic view of the surrounding region including the Himalayas.
Its one of the most important Shakti peeth as the head of Devi Sati fell at this place.
The trek is quite tiring but one can hire a pony.

Sem Mukhem Temple is one of the best place to visit in Tehri as the temple is situated at a height of approx. 2900 mtrs. You have to walk for approx. 7 kms to reach there and once you will be there you can enjoy the breathtaking views from this place.

Loved the place. Nature scenery at it's best from here of Dhanaulti. Very beautiful, calm and peaceful. Wanted to spend more time but couldn't do it due to lack of time. Missed the rising sunset view.
