Reviewed By Chipolata0We stayed here for the second time. Our kids really wanted to go back. The childcare and children's skiing is fantastic and everybody is super friendly. We had a lovely spacious and very clean room. Only downside we found are the hard beds. The food is fine (not special but good). We have had a great winter holiday.

Reviewed By 424rpcGreat room with balcony very clean made to feel welcome by owners and staff . We were half board food was excellant . Great fishing and walking enjoyed swimming in the pool . Village of Huttschlag is at the end of the valley with stunning moutains around , there is a small supermarlet in village which is very acomodating . will return .

Amazing relaxation of mind!

Our appartments overlooked in front of above 2,500 m rocky mountains covered with the snow and though it had a very solid view in the middle of the nature. Facility was extremely clean and perfectly decorated. We were feeling very homely and enjoyed a coffe on th balcony just simply looking at top of alps. Internet, tv, kitchenary, bath etc - everything operated properly. Ski slopes are 8 km drive but this won't stress you definately. You can find hotel close, but you will miss the spirit to be in the middle of the nature... Having a sauna after a ski day made us feeling recovered and relaxed. The only thing we didn't like - we stayed just 2 nights and had urgently return back home. Owners were extremely helpfull and kind. "Alter" Max and his son also Max )) always smiling and up to assist in every single request. Thanks for quick mind recovery!

Deutlich ausbaufähig ....
Reviewed By Martin HÜber Silvester haben wir als Familie einige Tage in diesem Hotel übernachtet und sowohl die Halbpension als auch das Silvestermenu gebucht. Unser Fazit fällt durchwachsen aus, doch der Reihe nach: Lage: das Hotel liegt im Ortszentrum von Hüttschlag, ca. 10 Autominuten von Großarl und den Skipisten entfernt. Vor dem Haus befinden sich ausreichend Parkplätze, der Ort bietet außer einem weiteren 3*Hotel, einer Bar am Ortseingang und einem kleinen Supermarkt viel Ruhe und Entspannung -genau das hatten wir gesucht und gefunden! Zimmer: die Zimmer entsprechen einem 4* Haus, das Bad ist gut ausgestattet, das Zimmer verfügt über gute Betten und einen großen Flat Screen mit sehr gut empfangbaren TV-Sendern (A,D). Zudem hatten wir einen Balkon - praktisch zum Aufhängen der Skikleidung am Abend. Allerdings ist der W-LAN Empfang äußerst schwach... Gastronomie: Hier zeigt sich die große Schwäche des Hauses. Das Frühstück ist zufriedenstellend und bietet ein gutes Angebot an Wurst, Käse, Müsli, Obst, Eiern, Brot und Brötchen - alles somit OK. Allerdings war das Angebot zum Abendessen (Halbpension, Auswahl an 3 verschiedenen Hauptgängen - also nicht à la carte!) sehr mäßig, qualitativ unterdurchschnittlich und sehr enttäuschend. Beispiel: als Rösti wurden geplättete Kroketten serviert (komisch, am Vortag gab es Kroketten), diese beiden Beilagen waren TK-Waren. Vermisst haben wir typische österreichische Speisen, wie z.B. Kasnockerl, Semmelknödel, Krapfen. Die Fleischqualität war insgesamt ok (Schnitzel, Bratenscheibe, Geflügel), allerdings recht lieblos serviert und qualitativ wie in einer X-beliebigen Gaststätte zu finden. Besser hingegen waren die Nachtische... Silvestermenü: Hier zeigt sich, dass man an diesem Abend Kasse machen möchte. Für einen Aufpreis von € 27,- pro Person hatten wir dieses Menü in der Hoffnung gebucht, etwas "besonderes oder anderes" als das HP-Abendessen serviert zu bekommen und wurden total enttäuscht. Außer einer etwas größeren Auswahl an Speisen servierte man den üblichen Hauptgerichtstandard samt Suppe und Nachtisch. Zu diesem stolzen Zusatzpreis gab es noch nicht einmal ein Glas Sekt oder einen Schnaps zum Jahresende... in Deutschland würde man hier von "Abzocke" sprechen. Wellness: kleiner Saunabereich mit 90°-Sauna, Dampfsauna 60° und Infrarotkabine, unspektakulär aber in Ordnung. Alles in allem haben wir schon in manch anderem 4* oder sogar 3* Hotel in Österreich übernachtet und mit Abstand höheren Standard in Gastronomie und Beherbergung erhalten. Das familiengeführte Haus punktet mit freundlicher und persönlichen Gästebetreuung . Dennoch hapert es ab und zu jedoch im Service (Getränke werden auf das falsche Zimmer boniert, halb volle Weinflaschen des Vorabends werden erst nachträglich an den Tisch gestellt, am Silvesterabend war die Bar teilweise verweist...). Verwunderlich war es auch, dass sowohl beim Frühstücks- als auch beim Abendbüffet die Salatteller/-schüsseln teilweise nicht sauber waren und Schmutzflecken aufwiesen (leider jeden Tag der Fall!). Fazit: für die gebotene Leistung preislich überzogen.
