An enjoyable stay
Reviewed By mvanderleiWe enjoyed our stay here, especially the pool and the great food that was available even though we only arrived close to 9pm on the first night. Breakfast was great, too, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The only downside was that our room was across the Marktplatz square rather than in the main building, meaning we had to go outside and to the other building for breakfast and the pool. The decision to go there was last-minute so I certainly can't blame the hotel for not having more rooms available, but we felt this could have been communicated more clearly when we were considering our options. Just a short note saying "By the way, this room is not in the main building but in our 'Ferienwohnung' across the street" would have been sufficient notice. Also we found the upper room where we were staying a little dark and the style somewhat old-fashioned. I guess that comes with the building itself which has that sort of feel to it, but perhaps something could be done to make it look a little less dark in the room itself. As mentioned we had a good experience overall though!

Reviewed By Cécile PTrès agréable séjour dans la nature au bord du lac de Butgenbach. Les logements sont bien équipés et spacieux. Point de départ idéal pour des randonnées dans la région. Le village et les commerces sont à moins d'un kilomètre.

Lovely family hotel, in small village setting.
Reviewed By Jack PI stayed here for six nights with four friends we enjoyed this spotlessly clean hotel which provided our bed and fantastic breakfasts. Lovely gardens manicured to perfection, plenty of parking, good free wifi all run by a caring friendly family. Thoroughly recommended. Plenty of choice of other restaurants in the area as this hotel does not cater for dinner. They do have an honesty bar providing wines and beers. We loved it.

Lots of activities inside so you are independent of nice weather although it helps for you to profit even more from the lovely outdoor space around the hotel. Warmly recommended!

Reviewed By ElizabethB007Booked via Booking.com but had to communicate with the hotel via messages re our stay . All staff extremely helpful . Delightful, slightly quirky hotel. Lots of fellow visitors were cyclists or walkers. We stayed to attend the 6hours WEC race at Spa Francorchamps motor racing circuit. Probably about 12 miles from circuit parking at Ster. Scenery lovely, by the lake. We didn’t have much chance to see around and about, just to and fro the circuit. Pretty village with several bars and restaurants. Carols at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast great, buffet style. Big room with 3 beds and sitting area. Very clean if a little dated style wise. All staff were very helpful and many spoke beautiful English as , shamefully we do not speak much French or German and no Dutch! Plenty of parking. Lots of stairs but there is a lift. Shower pressure good. Hooks for coats. Long mirror. Quite a find!

Reviewed By Bernard PIn alle stilte, in 't midden van de natuur een prachtige omgeving en indrukwekkende paarden ranch. Kamers zijn ruim, badkamers net. Het ontbijt is basic en OK. Het is er geen klassieke b&b, wanneer je dit er bij neemt, best wel OK. Wij hebben er overnacht in weekend van F1 en dit was uitstekende keuze.
