Reviewed By rpumpernickelWhen I first arrived I was a bit disappointed at my choice as there was nothing else in this village but the hotel. It was a very hot day and I was dying for a cold beer but when I asked if i could book the drinks to my room I was told that they expect to be paid on a daily basis in the evening. As the hotel was supposed to have WIFI I went to reception to obtain the log in details but, regretfully, they did not work and for the 4 days I stopped there I could not log into my email and I had to rely on my Virgin Travel Pass which cost me extra. The hotel itself is fine, we ate there on two evenings and had two meal out in the nearest towns of Arnbruck and Bad Kötzting, which by the way, has one of the best and cheapest beer gardens in this area and should not be missed. Due to the heatwave in Germany whilst we were there the rooms were stifling hot and leaving the balcony door open was a bit of a problem as it was a shared balcony with all the other rooms. The Rappenhof is in a good position but you need a car to get there and to drive to the places worth visiting in the Bavarian Forest, it was comfortable with a large garden for children and was reasonably priced.

Einfach nur toll!
Reviewed By 2bcoolTWir kommen seit 6 Jahren hier auf den Hof. Familie Achatz ist sehr nett und gibt auch im sechsten Jahr wertvolle Ausflugstipps. Der Hof selber ist für die Kinder toll. Fahrzeuge und Platz ist reichlich vorhanden. Der Brötchenservice ist toll. Man muss früh nicht zum Bäcker fahren sondern holt einfach seine bestellten Semmeln im Haupthaus ab. Die Auswahlmöglichkeiten bei den Semmeln sind sehr vielfältig. Auf dem Hof gibt es Kühe die man mit auf die Weide treiben oder von der Weide in den Stall treiben kann. 2 Alpakas mit denen man eine Wanderung machen kann gibt es auch. Katzen, Hühner und Ziegen sind auch da. Man kann sich die frische Milch ? holen und im Stall beim Füttern helfen. Exenbach liegt sehr zentral daher sind es keine weiten Wege für Ausflüge notwendig. Die Ferienwohnungen sind schön eingerichtet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall immer wieder gerne.

auf dem Stand der 80er Jahre
Reviewed By Johanna REinrichtung und Ambiente erinnern an die 80er Jahre, nur der Gastraum wurde heller und neuer gestaltet. Aber, trotz Rauchverbots in Bayern, wird hier noch geraucht an der Theke im Gastraum - und zwar die Einheimischen.
