Be aware of aggressive owners
Reviewed By MartaLuxemboAlthough I had a seamless first experience at this hotel, my second time was really awful. Even though they advertise everywhere (Booking, their own website, business card...) a free-shuttle service to Hahn airport, and I had requested it via Booking messenger, it was denied to me upon my arrival to the hotel at 11pm, on the basis that my partner was there with me and had a car (he had an 8-hour drive trip ahead the morning after and was planning to sleep for a few more hours, as I had to go to the airport at 5am). I tried to be pooled with 2 other passengers taking my same very flight, but the owner un-understandably refused it, shouting at us in a defiant manner what I believe is a sexist comment to my partner -- I quote: "How do you dare to let another man driving your wife to the airport while you are sleeping?". The shouting, the overall impolite manners and the despicable tone made us feel threatened and totally ruined our stay as we could not sleep after all the stress. PS. My partner had to drive 735 Kms after 2 hours of sleep, courtesy of Mr and Ms owners of Hotel Pizzeria VENEZIA.

Excellent alternative to eating at Hann Airport
Reviewed By DublinDonWe arrived early at the airport, and rather than spend some hours in some 'soulless' building, we headed for the nearest village Sohren, which was only a few minutes away. The village and shops were amazing,but that will be the subject of a seperate review! We were recommended to eat at the Hotel Schinderhannes, which we were assured was one of the best restaurants in the town. It turned out to be a very authentic and rustic building, both warm and welcoming. The decor was excellent and very reminiscent of similar hunting lodges in the French Alps. Although it was two weeks before Christmas, and they were fully booked out, the owner made provision for us in the bar area. The menu was very adequate, with a nod to it's roots with the wild boar and venison burgers. This accompanied by a large plate of gorgeous chips very much hit the spot for us, and was miles away from any of the airport offerings. Prices were moderate, and if you have some time to spare at Hann, make this your restaurant of choice!!

Good price-quality
Reviewed By tomhols1952The hotel is located next to the casino. It has an own parking place. Reception was a bit akward and anyhow staff is hardly visible. Spacious, clean room with a good quality bed. Shower leaks a bit but not hindring. No airco. I was in a hurry so didn’t take breakfast. For €40 quite a good place to be. Sohren is not benefitting from a lot a restaurants but I had an OK dinner at the Greec.

Good German food at great prices
Reviewed By laurie156Haven't stayed here, but accommodation looks good. Staff very helpful and they provide plenty of information on local places of interest. Good German food, and plenty of it. We go here with the family which includes a 5 year old, who is made just as welcome as the adults!!

Hotel muy viejo y servicio pésimo
Reviewed By elpaladardepauliÉramos un grupo de unas 20 personas y la experiencia fue mala. Primero te piden 50€ de fianza, el último día vienen a inspeccionar la habitación (con lupa) que todo esté perfecto, incluso te hacen tirar la basura y dejarlo todo impacable.. Aún sigo sin entender que tipo de establecimiento hace limpiar a los huéspedes habiendo pagado para alojarse en él y habiendo el cartel de HOTEL. Las instalaciones son muy viejas y da bastante grima, toallas de todos los colores, sabanas y colchones sucios. No incluye desayuno, no hay servicio de habitaciónes. Te dicen que si pierdes la llave se quedan con los 50€... La ubicación es muy buena, en medio del bonito pueblo de Sohren. Pero eso si, nada recomendable, seguro que hay alojamientos mucho mejores por la zona.
