Nice pool and breakfast
Reviewed By FinncanuckThis hotel is located right beside the Inter-American highway in the middle of town. There are stores and restaurants all around. The hotel has a nice pool and a good breakfast, but not much more. Our room was poorly laid out, very hard to move around. Not much to see out the window. The safes are broken in most rooms. There is no fridge, but ice is available. You do get a coffeemaker and good coffee. OK for a stopover and a good location for stocking up on supplies.

This is a classical hotel in Santiago, with the best rate and the best location! It is located right on Via Interamericana, by Mc Donald's - very easy to find and everybody knows where we are! Hotel Gran David offers the "BEST DEAL" in Santiago, it has the best price for very good rooms. We have remodeled rooms and bathrooms (new tiles), LCD, cable TV, duvet covers (we love this system because it permits our guests to sleep on a clean bed), hot water, and free wireless. Also, our restaurant is great! Our breakfasts are very famous (try our tortillas) and lunch menus at only $3.50. Super cheap!We look forward to receiving you!

Reviewed By scottameneelyA nice hotel, but we ran into a problem. So, on the way from David back to Panama, we needed to stop and spend the night. I looked on all of the travel websites, and Hotel Gran David seemed like a great option. All of the sites listed breakfast included, which was much better. So we got a room, spent the night, and showed up for breakfast, where they asked us for our room number. We went to eat, and they came over and said "we're sorry, but you got a special rate, and your mother in law paid the senior price, so breakfast is not included". Nothing was said about this during check in, and it was quite the unagreeable experience for it to happen at breakfast, after we'd already taken our food, and in front of the whole restaurant. After bringing up the issue we only had to pay half, but the whole experience knocked the place down a star for us. The rooms were nice. The pool great, with shade. The art and decor in the lobby also very nice, but beware, that breakfast may not be included.

Beautiful rooms from $25 a night with air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi cable and garden views. Mixed Dorms $11 per person. Large garden with hammocks, common kitchen. Homemade food restaurant. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Bar. Bike rental, Yoga, Daytrips to Santa Fe and La Yeguada. One of the best evaluated hostel in the area. Very attentive and helpful staff and a family atmosphere.

Reviewed By Randy VStayed here with the hopes of having a couple days of rest and relaxing time around the beautiful pool, too bad there were swimming lessons for 30 kids from 9am till noon, then our patio tables were taken away for an event the next day, ok not a big deal until hotel staff took all lounge chairs and put them away, I tried to get a couple to put on our deck but was denied, that evening there was a valentines party with very loud music at first we were told only until 9pm and it would be smooth and quiet tunes, after calling front desk at 930 to ask when music will stop they tell me any minute, 30 min later I called again this time they tell maybe 11pm it is over. Don't stay here if you want some quiet time

A good transit stopover in Santiago,Veraguas
Reviewed By holeinonesummitPleasant surprise in Santiago,Veraguas we were looking for somewhere to stay and discovered La Hacienda on InterAmerican Highway it was a good choice especially as enjoy Mexico and this hotel reminded us very much of our trips to that great country. We originally only planned to stay on one night but extended it for another night on our way to Playa Torio we ate our meals in restaurant which was very good considering Panama is only now recovering from the pandemic.They have good WiFi,quiet rooms and very good service with employees. We would definitely stay there again if we are travelling through Santiago,Veraguas.
