We had our wedding in the Listowel Arms on New Years Eve 2021. We can’t thank Patrice and all the team enough for making our day so special, they went above and beyond to make it so and took all the stress out of the planning. On the day itself they even made lovely suggestions for including things that we would never have thought of and kept us on track to ensure things ran as smoothly as possible. The venue was beautifully decorated and they thought of everything. It’s such a beautiful hotel, the food was amazing with great options for dietary requirements. The rooms were really comfortable and beautifully decorated. What really made it though were the staff they spoiled us, our family and friends with their great service, their friendliness, charm and wit!! Our parents, families, cousins and friends were all telling me how impressed they were by their experience and the lovely staff. Those that haven’t been before said they will be booking in for a future weekend getaway, while others were even recommending to colleagues at work to check the place out. It’s a beautiful venue to have your wedding, they looked after us so well. Thank you for everything, Marion and David Sexton

Racecourse View

SPOTLESS, bright, modern, warm

Reviewed By odriscob525

I was so happy at Racecourse View that I immediately booked with Noreen for my next holiday. It is SPOTLESS, bright, modern, warm and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent (full Irish /yogurts /fruit/ granola /Cereal) - Noreen could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend this BnB to anyone. Love love that we had tea making facilities in our room. An absolute find.

Palmgrove Bed and Breakfast is situated on the right hand side of the N69 from Listowel to Tarbert. Two miles from Listowel, it is the first B&B house after Amber service station This can be used as a launching point from which all of Kerry can be explored. Using the nearby ferry port at Tarbert you can travel around Clare at leisure, without worring about travelling great distances. Moyvane, Knockanure, Ballylongford, Ballybunion; these are just some of the venues with easy access to Palmgrove.

Comfortable B&B

Reviewed By ChitchatCanada

We stayed here for 1 night during our travels thru Ireland and found it quite enjoyable. Although it is situated on a busy road, traffic noise was not an issue despite our room facing the road. Joan was welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Our room with ensuite was on the small side but was well laid out, functional and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty but once the hot breakfast was served we were seemingly forgotten and weren't checked on or offered any refills of coffee/tea.

Behan's Horseshoe Bar & Restaurant

Wonderful Hospitality

Reviewed By philmG6428PM

We spent one night in Behan's and had a great time. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the bar was warm and welcoming. We had a quick lunch when we arrived, and then dinner later, and both were excellent - great selection, well prepared and filling. And the Guinness was good too. Our bedroom was modern, well-appointed and spotless, with a huge comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning was just what we needed to fortify us for our drive back to Mayo. Also - free Wi-Fi and off-street parking in a convenient central location. Highly recommended.

John R's Bed & Breakfast

Luxurious Room & Best breakfast in 2-week stay in Ireland

Reviewed By CdnIrishDiane

Luxurious, bright rooms with big skylights, wonderful showers and lots of little extras. “Relax” room with king size bed is very spacious with lots of storage space, shelves in bathroom & 2 reading chairs. Windows on both sides of room allow cross-breeze. Excellent fan as well. Makeup & full-length mirrors. Lovely tea station (with water too) and couch in the hallway shared by the 3 rooms. Great central location with many attractions & pubs within walking distance. Short drive to the must-see unique Lartigue Monorailway. Breakfast served in bakery below was scrumptious and plentiful including mouth-watering scones. The very attentive and friendly staff even packed a couple extra for the road. Found lock to outer door tricky so I would not want to stay her alone as needed my brother to let me in. Wifi spotty in “Relax” though fine in “Sleep” room. Highly recommended as long as you are able and willing to walk up lots of stairs.

McMahon House

Bed, maybe not breakfast.

Reviewed By MyOpinion22014

Attending a funeral we had to book 2 nights somewhere with little notice. This place seemed to fit the bill but was very disappointing. The room was in very poor repair with rotten wood sash windows that could only be opened by propping a piece of wood. Even in January this was necssary as the heating was on full power and could not be regulated. The mould on the wall had an overpowering smell and relief only comes if you can get to sleep quickly. The TV has barely any channels. The wifi was non-existent. The bathroom was in an even worse state with an unsealed shower unit and the toilet was so cramped my shoulder was crushed by the basin ( and that had no plug). The bed sheets were clean! Next morning we were awoken early by the noise from the street (6 am). We found out breakfast doesn't start till 9am so we were unable to have it the second morning. Incidentally you have to leave the 'hotel' to go next door to the cafe. The breakfast in this cafe was very good. Overall it was a poor stay. The place needs a total refurb and I doubt if that will happen anytime soon.
